  1. We bought a used 2005 GMC a few years ago with an aftermarket JVC installed in the dash. I never thought much about it until a couple of weeks ago when we had to drive clear across the state for a funeral. There aren't enough toys and books to keep a 6yo happy for 16 hours of sitting in 2 days. While I was getting gas my wife ran over to the Redbox and rented a couple of movies for our boy to watch. It worked out great! What I really liked about the JVC is that I could control everything from the factory controls on the steering wheel. If I needed to hear what he or my wife were saying I could pause the movie.

Two years ago I had just parked my truck on I17 south of 169. As my son and I walked away a officer pulled in behind us and waved us back. He told me to write a note that I was out hunting and put it on my windshield. And he wouldn’t bother us.

I have probably parked in that stretch 25 times checking cameras or hunting. We got an orange sticker one time because we were too close to the entrance ramp. I was told to park well off the shoulder and leave a note. We never had another issue.

How long is your trailer? If not too long, the pines along Arrastra Creek are nice and the creeks running, deer abound.

It's Pine Flats Rd and Senator Highway SW of Mayer. You can take Senator Highway from there to Prescott but it's a dirt road.

Just Google Pine Flats or Goodwin AZ.

A better choice might be Powell Springs area near Cherry, AZ. The USFS campground is closed but there's parking in the area or all along Hwy 169. It's paved, year round Creek in spots and maybe 30 minutes from Prescott.

Powell Springs is a great spot to camp. We use to take our 26ft trailer up there a lot in the summer.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to get into hunting coyote. I live in northern Arizona in between flagstaff and parks. I was wondering how do I find where to hunt and how to make a good stand. Thanks

I live just west of Parks and I have a hard time calling up here. When I lived in the desert I called a lot and could kill 30 or 40 a year all with a shotgun. Up here I probably only kill one every 10 stands. I think its easy for the coyotes to get your wind before you see them through the trees. In the last 5 years up here I have called more bobcats and foxes than coyotes.

First, I'm going to say the Bradshaws have won me over.

I've spent some time there in the past two weeks and absolutely love it. Roads are ok, but the full size Hummers racing around corners present challenges sometimes.

Talked to some wardens in the area, and they loved to talk about deer and elk in the area. Bonus. Caught some fish- another bonus. It's 15 degrees cooler than below - love it.

Found a few cameras - if you see anyone in a Coueswhitetail shirt doing peace signs it's more than likely me.

So- the question I have: Table Mesa Rd E. is closed just about as soon as you get off the highway. Would love to know why. I know the Tonto is in lockdown but that's not for 4 miles down the road. Until then it's State Land.

There's a few spots I want to check out- and am wanting to call someone about the closure. I got places to explore!

Where did you catch the fish? I use to go to Horse Thief Basin when I lived in Cordes. Haven't been there in several years.

expand on this for me because i cant imagine needing it. for arizona hunting i mean. if youre saying you cant hunt without it because you travel to hunt then nevermind

Its handy to have on your phone for almost any hunt. We use it a lot to send locations back and forth. I get on the computer and mark areas I want to look at then they pop up on my map out in the field. Its also cheaper than a gps.
