White Ford on I-10 south of Benson
thegunsmith2506 replied to thegunsmith2506's topic in Sticker Sightings!
Yup. That was it. We were in the tan jeep behind you when you turned off I-10. -
Saw a white Ford on I-10 Saturday morning. Had a small sticker in the back window.

Had another great day of calling! We hunted all day and called a total of 11 dogs. This was by far my best day of calling ever, and my worst day of shooting. We had a really hard time with swirling winds. On several stands we had dogs running in fast. The wind would switch, and they would take off! We both missed 2 dogs, and 4 got away without a shot. All were shotgun kills between 10 and 51 yards. All these were shot with Wingmaster HD BB's. I think its funny how many 60lb coyotes I hear about in AZ. We shot the biggest coyote I have ever killed, he was 37lbs on the fish scale. Picture was taken from my stand location:

thegunsmith2506 replied to josh's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Thats awesome! I need to get back into some cat country and try to call one in with the new foxpro. I just can't bring myself to pass on the foxes and yotes. Nice job and great pics! -

A good day of calling
thegunsmith2506 replied to thegunsmith2506's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Not a whole lot to tell on the bull tags. In the archery hunt they just wouldn't bugle, and were only hitting water in the dark. It was a lot of fun! I hunted hard for 9 days. Saw the bull I was after almost every day, and he would water under my treestand at 10pm some nights. I have lots of pics of him. On the rifle hunt we saw a few bulls but couldn't get it done. The only time I could get my wife in range, the wind was 40-50 miles an hour. It was brutal! We saw one really good bull opening day, but lost him in the canyons mid day. All in all it was a great time, and hope to draw again next year. -

Very well said.... I usually dont't post much, but what was said here is very upsetting. Just think, this could be any one of us, or our loved ones out there. I don't care how tough we think we are, we all make mistakes, and in the woods it only takes one to kill you. I am praying for the safe return of all the hunters. We all try to be prepared, but you can't always know what is going to happen. We are all entitled to our own opinions, but I choose not to be associated with anyone that acts this way. I really don't want to leave this forum, and take the sticker off my truck. Like I said though, I choose not to be associated with a guy like that. I hope he is not allowed to stay.

Is this a wolf or hybrid?
thegunsmith2506 replied to bowhuntaz1's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I called in a dog that looked like that a few years ago in unit 27. I always figured it was a Wolf. I didn't shoot it since I wasn't sure what it was. When I asked G&F about it, they said it was probably a ferrel dog. -
To answer a few of the questions: I will sell it for $450.00 without the scope. I will except cash + trade, but I don't want to add cash to any trades In the next few weeks I can bring the gun to Phx or Tucson. I can always meet anyone in Anthem or Prescott

This is a 1950's motor. It ran when I put it in storage 5 years ago, but I haven't tried to start it since. It does need the pull start replaced, but aside from that, everything is in working order. I also have the original gas can that I will sell with it. This motor has always been kept indoors. Feel free to ask any questions. I have been watching these Motors on Ebay and they go for $250-$500 with the gas can. I am asking $125.00 OBO since this one needs a little work. I live in Prescott, but will be in Phoenix Saturday if anyone is interested.

whats your take on calling?
thegunsmith2506 replied to SO I HUNT's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
Hi, I don't have a foxpro yet, but I do have a cheaper electronic call. I have tried a lot of sounds and have had the best luck with a rabbit distress. I call for 15-45 min depending on the stand. Let us know how you like the call! I am saving my pennies to buy one soon. -
We braved the nasty weather today, and I called in and killed my first Bobcat! I've been calling steady for 6 years, and this was my first chance at a cat. She came in to a rabbit distress at the 4min mark on our first stand. It was cold and raining. The shot was 48yds with Remington 3-1/2 HD BB shot. DRT! This was the first time I used this load, I was very impressed!
