Not sure if this has been posted up already. My wife sent me this pic. Guess even an ethical (vital) shot gives you no sure kill.

Swhackers for bull elk? Updated testing..
ready2hunt replied to TOBY's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I don't think there is anything "usual" about that story. haha. Sounds like a heck of a hunt....wish I could claim I had killed a bear with a bow! I got a pack of virgin Swhackers. I am hopeing to have blood on them this fall. Having seen the damage they do I will only shoot swhackers. -
Those are some great pics! I agree with nighthawk

Not sure where it is but I for one would be pretty pissed off seeing one walking around the same neighborhood as my kids. Where was it taken?

Yes it will, without question!

This isn't your way of saying good bye to everyone right?

Congrats! Here's to many happy years to come!

I think it was originally on a mid size. I just never got around to mounting it. It can fit a full size though depending on the model.

October Coues Hunt vs December Rut Hunt
ready2hunt replied to AZ Ground Pounders's topic in AZ Ground Pounders Outfitters Blog
Great job guys! Couldn't agree more, while I would love a late hunt I will always put in for Oct. hunts. -
Just as what has been said. It can be a tough hunt if you don't already have a game plan and know where to be (unless luck is on your side haha) I have found that the pack out is never easy.... when I am with a hunting partner and have pushed them hard I usually pack out alone anyway. I always make it a point to hunt with someone but see where you are coming from and you should be fine. Just don't put yourself in dumb situations..."Attention to Detail" is a phrase you might be familiar with Let us know how it goes for you!

I just saved 15% on my car insurance by switching to Geico It has been a min. since someone posted here...getting bored
-
Yes it will WEED people out....namely kids who can't afford or who's parents can't afford the tags.

This is ridiculous! I am sorry for name calling but these idiots have just pissed me off. I get that you have to raise prices (of any product) over time to continue to provide a service but this is just screwing all of us. Premium elk hunt??? Are you kidding me? In this economy I have a hard enough time trying to pay for healthcare and gas now they want to raise tag prices. They should at least off set this cost by giving some free youth tags. I'm so sick of G&F's poor oversight and mismanagement

amazing animals everyone. Thanks to those who put in the time to make this contest happen as well.

that's funny It's my understanding that as soon as the sow harvest limit has been met then you can still hunt until that wed. So if they report on the hotline that the limit has been met on a Monday then you have until "dusk" Tuesday evening to hunt. You got the right idea.

Unit 1 & 27 gives you the best chance of shooting one as far as populations concerned (kiabab as well). I always seen a bunch in unit 1 its just a bit far to drive for me when I can buy a turkey at Fry's for a fraction of the price haha. 23 is just as good as any, water + food = turkey
