I bought a $20 tent from walmart. Sets up in less than 5min. and (when packed) is the size of a phanny pack. Fits me and my gear fine (but no room for anyone else). I do not care if I lose it or if I tears as it is cheap. Keeps me dry etc. I know everyone has their choice but I can go through many many little tents before I every reach the same price of this $$$ gear and it is smaller and weighs less than a lot of this other stuff. Just a thought

Any good lake is gonna have a decent amount if people this time of year. You could try ashurst lake though, just not a ton of tree cover by the lake.

Wireless trail camera question....prior to opener.
ready2hunt replied to Bitter24's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Is that really the case? I thought you just could not have motor vehicles in wilderness areas. I don't have any cameras anyway in those places but that is good information to know. Do you have any specific regulation to reference? (no thread hijacking intended) -
Backpacking is an amazing way to hunt. Just use common sense. Many seasoned hunters have found themselves turned around at one point or another. Water=Life Even some animals die of dehydration as you well know...don't push your limits until you are completely familiar with the terrain. If you want to hike miles and miles away from civilization then have enough water to do so. Don't depend on rain and stay sheltered out of bad weather. You can do a lot with a good pack, solid boots, a compass and your basic camping gear. Always have a small survival pack. I'd even suggested hiking and camping out where you intend to hunt so you familiarize yourself with the terrain and know what to expect. Have fun and enjoy your hunt.

Now that's exciting! I hope they get drawn. Can't wait to get my oldest on her first hunt.

I am not really sure how much it weight. I can pick it up myself, its just bulky to get my arms around. It is set up as you open it. So as you open it it takes full form and closes just as fast. Does this answer your question?

I am selling a mombasa Roof top tent. This is an amazing tent that can either go on any vehicle with luggage racks or an off road trailer! It is great for a quick over night camp out or a full elk camp. This text is 5' 10" x 7' - very spacious. This tent is also extremely clean- even the white canvas is still 'bright white!' No pets, smokers have ever been inside. I even had a custom cover built for it which is made of marine material- lifetime guarantee! These things are awesome- if your vehicle goes off road you have a tent ready to sleep in no matter where you are! Sorry the pics are sideways... My iPhone wont work for me haha These tents can go for 1k or more. I am asking $600 or best offer. Pm text or call 4806281720

Way to get it done! That's interesting you don't have too many all black bears. I wonder why that is?

Everyone has their preference just like a rifle. I hunt on a budget every year and really like the primos line of cameras. Some people rolls their eyes when they see "primos" but i have been impressed with their cams. Durable, great pic resolution, not too expensive and I like the sensor radius. I bought my first one in 09' and still have the same one out today. I have since bought 3 others. I am sure there are better models but have yet to have an issue with any of them. Even had a bear pop a hole on the lens protector and it was still taking good pics. With these you are looking at $80-$200 depending on how fancy you want to get. Pm me if you want to see some examples of the pics. Good luck to you.
