Guess the Score of this White Mountain Apache Coues Buck!
ready2hunt replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Contests and Giveaways!
129!! -
Decided its time to move on from rabbits and chickens and get my kids a dog. Let me know if you know anyone who have a pup that's been weened. I want a younger dog to grow with my kids and one that is reasonably priced. We've been looking into some labs/hounds and short hairs. With a young family it is hard for me to justify spending more money on a dog than my first car......binos are a different story haha Let me know what you guys this or if you know anyone. Thanks!

The time has come- I "got" a dog (pics added)

So as life would have it, we went through "paws for the cause" and adopted a dog! After some elbows and persistence got to take this little gem home. She is a 9 week boxer/hound mix. They are not sure what type of hound though. Any guesses? Although I don't have a picture she was already bringing me my antler- it was a match made in heaven. Thanks for all the advices and offers guys. -

This is why I LOVE this site! Thanks for all the great responses guys!! It going to "mainly" a family dog. I worked with Belgium Malinois in the past but when my wife saw what they are capable of she put the ax to that idea. My wife and I plan to take it to a training school that trains the dog WITH me and my kids. Its cheaper and I like the idea of my kids being involved. I hope to eventually train it to shed hunt. I had a lab/chow mix growing up.....best friend I had until I met my wife He loved chasing cars though and that's how he met his demise. RIP- TUFF I will defiantly post up some pics when we come to a decision. Keep the suggestions coming. -
SO jealous. That is the type of buck you spend $$$$$ for! I hope we get to see it again on the ground next time!

fixed blade or mechanical broad heads ?!?
ready2hunt replied to jgraffaz's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
There is a lot of truth to that statement. I shot a good bull while hunting with elkaddict this last year with a brand new g5 striker fixed head broadhead. Shot him down hill right behind the shoulder at 62 yards. The arrow blew thru him and we all thought the bull was a dead bull. He ran 100 plus yards and stood there while we were able to get video of him. After 10 minutes, he walked off with a blood trail that dried up quickly to never be found again. Here is a pic off the video. The entrance was on his right side and if you look closely you can see the exit behind his shoulder. What a heart break! That is a killer bull to lose with a good shot. Sorry to hear that. -

Hey Everyone, I am looking to sell my Remington 700 BDL 30-06 rifle. It is an amazing set up and a fantastic platform for a more custom build. As is- it has checkering on the stock and bolt handle, it also has the black "ivory" tip. The wood is flawless. I have put a couple boxes of rounds through it for sighting in etc but other than that I have not used it. It does shoot amazing though. I bought this rifle with the intention of customizing it a little more however I have decided to put money into another project for now. I had purchased this from Bear Mountain Sports a couple years ago. I confirmed with (Ed the owner) today that their lifetime no fault warranty applies to whomever owns the rifle! I am asking $750 for the rifle and open to negotiate within reason. I am also throwing this pair of binos in to sweeten the deal! These are brand new 10x50's (scope and sling are not included) Not interested in trades at this time just cash and I am located in the east valley. Pm or Text me (480) 628-172zero

Swarovski EL 12x50 Swarovision and SLC 15X56 WB
ready2hunt replied to out4blood's topic in Optics and tripods
That's what I was thinking for myself. I don't have the money to afford good binos and a good spotting scope (at least not anytime soon) My thought process is put the money into a good pair of 15's to get the best of both worlds. Then when I do have the money try the 12's and a spotting scope. I just keep thinking to myself though that if the swaro 12's have such "good" glass that in the near future swaro is going to do the same thing (swaro vision etc) in their 15's. If the 12's have such better quality and color contrast why wouldn't they? -
It's awesome that you do this for everyone flatlander! 5a early archery bull 4pts & 6a late rifle bull

They are a neat set up, I made one about a year ago. +1 to the castration bands. The rest was just a couple of screws and 2 wood sticks from Home Depot cut in half to make 4. The concept is good and they work great but just too much set up time for me. For the time it took to take the shot I would just buy a professional set up or use a bi pod

I had to politely decline the $50 as the Dutch oven alone is worth that. $75 anyone? -
Selling my "night vision" by night owl optics. I originally purchased it for $200 to see what was bothering my chickens and for fun. However it is a really neat price of hunting gear. I have used it multiple times to hike into blinds or a spot for glassing without disturbing the area with a flashlight. It's a 2x monocular with an adjustable focus. I even watched the bear in my avatar with with unit during an archery hunt. Selling for $70 and it's in "like new" condition. Not a spot or knick on the unit or case. Pm or text (48zero) 628-172zero No trades thanks

I haven't seen them close especially with the properties on pinal mt. There is not much on top though after the first big snow. The lower rds will all be open and you'll have better luck finding the bucks down in the scrub brush too.
