Any one use a tree stand?

i cant say i have done a tree stand for these very reasons. I can move more without being seen, have a shelter, can sleep in it over night if I have too. and the only falling I worry about is falling asleep. A well concealed ground blind is just as boring but its not as restricitve. Good luck though, I have some buddies who swear by them but to each his own. I usually still hunt but there are times I like sitting a waterhole or trail. I get there well before dark and might take a little nap. That way I have some time to check wind and let the woods quiet down before it gets close to sunset. For a sunrise hunt I will go in at 3 a.m., make sure I turn off the cell service and use my phone with an earbud for an alarm clock. I am also a sleep walker and when I was about 10 night fishing with my uncle and dad I got a rude awakening. They thought I was going to hang it off the back of the boat but I stepped off sleep walking. Everybody should definitely use a safety harness in a tree stand. OSHA says they are required for my work so why not use one for play. wait so you were sleep walking and walked off the boat? did I read that correct?

Calibration Defense| Anybody ever try it?

The argument is if the manner of enforcement was flawed not if he was speeding. Yes you shouldn't have been speeding and that is that- black and white. However, in this senario the officer has to prove the method of enforcement is beyond reproach and without doubt. It's simple law- OJ Simpson was acquitted because a detective lied. The trial was not about murder but a result of it. Of course he was guilty too. So what if IDGAF is using the law to his advantage. Officers do the same- we all have that right however officers are expected to have it right every time.

Calibration Defense| Anybody ever try it?

You're good to go. Like mentinoed above. Suit and tie, respectful demeanor. They are supposed to be calibrated prior to shift. Like checking the oil in the vehicle prior to every shift....hardly anyone actually does it. Anyone who says anything differently hasn't used one. Just becuase it's not calibrated dosen't mean it's off but it leaves the possiblity for error.

    Its official- 2015 El Nino

http://news.yahoo.com/el-nino-weather-system-begins-tropical-pacific-australia-053103198.html Even though it is bad for Australia and the south pacific it tends to bring us "higher" than average rain fall. Sounds like all the signs point to a banner year for antler growth. If this is truly the case I look forward to a healthy fawn drop and some good regrowth in the burns! Good luck to all of you who have elk tags. I hope you all have fun and miss the "big one" until I get my tag! haha
