Noted. Thanks. Congrats on getting your buffalo for your AZ big 10!
-
Do they allow you to shoot your buffalo with a bow on the ranch? Or any rifle/muzzleloader restrictions? Just curious how they could make it a little tiny bit more interesting.

Yes I have it and love it. Have it typically set at 30 which puts my second pin right about 50 in my setup. I have practiced and it's right on and practice holding under for anything under 30 and can hold between them for 40. Anything beyond 50 I have time to take two seconds to dial the distance. Works great for me.

ATX or ATS? I've heard good things about the meopta but I'm pretty sure the ATX/STX line is king. Comes with the price too..

From what I have noticed over the past few years is that if you were drawn for multiple species the charges to the card would come back to back. This is assuming both applications were using the same credit card. I would say that they charge the cards for all successful applications on that card and move to the next card. I could be wrong but it just seems that way after watching these results like a hawk each year. As for me I'm giving up hope and think it's done already. I'm just glad some family members have tags to help out with!

17 should have got you any archery elk tag. Are you sure you did not accidently apply for the early rifle tag? Yes should have had any archery tag except maybe 23 N or S. There is a possibility that 3 or more other people with 17 or more points decided to put in for those hunts. Maybe people sick of putting in for rifle and trying to cash in on archery on a good year. It's possible. Not likely but possible. This is also assuming the hunt choices were the 23 hunts. Anyway.. good luck!

FS Tikka T3 Lite Adjustable .260 Remington New in Box

That is a good deal on a great rifle! -
I have the SIII 6-24x50LR FFP MOA scope on my .260 and I really like it. Great glass for the money and I chose it over vortex viper pst I had. Gets slightly darker at 24 power but no where near as bad as the vortex did. I also have S-TAC 3-16x42 MOA scope on my 6.5 Grendel and it is great glass for the money as well. Very happy with both of them and would recommend them.

Thanks for sharing man. This was an awesome hunt with how it all played out. The odds of us running into that tom while running off that females kill is just crazy! The dogs were treed for a bit and we started walking over there but then the dogs were working a track out so we waited. Most of the back were working back while one dog hit the next ridge and lit up and we could see it working down parallel to us. So we walked down our ridge kind of towards the other dogs and where this one was working. Walking down we got a skunk smell and we were watching the dog work and as we moved on I look up in this tall pine that was blocking the sun from me and I see this perfect silhouette of a lion blocking the sun "there it is!!" That image won't ever leave my head. I for sure was surprised to see a good tom in the tree when we were thinking we were running a female which we may have been at first but it all came together perfectly to catch this tom. It's awesome to have been going out with my brother in law with his dogs and other friends over the years to see these lions each year but now it was my turn to be the hunter on the right tom at the right time. I won't ever forget this day that's for sure!! Huge thanks to Blake for finding the kill and huge thanks to my brother in law and another friend with their dogs!

Bushnell G-Force DX ARC Laser Rangefinder, 6 x 21mm, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HZGN9VO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_yLLlybQ92XEW4 For the money... this is hands down the best option out there and I would say it just is the best option. It happens to be on sale for a great price of $217 right now. I have seen it for $199 before but this is a great price. It is actually made by the same company that makes the Gunwerks G7 rangefinder but it is sold by and branded by Bushnell. I have ranged over 1300 yards with it and can hit over 1000 yards with it pretty easily so it would fit your needs it sounds like.

I got mine on the 13th of June. That was the earliest I have received it. Usually it's around 4th of July or after.

I believe they are just rotating that late hunt through different units. Over the last few years some have had it then went away while a new unit had it opened up. Not sure of the rotation but I believe that is their plan with those late hunts. It's a good tag and fun to hunt that time of year!
