Kimbers new Mountain Ascent
AverageJoe replied to Couzer's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
A 4lb rifle for 2000.00???? No thanks!! -
Nope dont go. Liberal arse cities. Cold nasty muddy etc. no woman on earth would be worth it. Not one thing nice about minnesota.

Strother doesnt have bad customer service, just hard to find parts if you need some. No one in arizona is a strother dealer anymore. Robert at broken arrow archery can help you out though if you need something. I havent shot a pse recently so i cant comment on it but i can say i now prefer strother over bowtech and matthews. Never have liked Hoyt.

Awesome rifle. Wish i had the money!

I own and shoot a strother sr71. I absoltely love it. It is the best bow i have shot and in my opinion it is the best bow period. I have owned a matthews switchback, bowtech allegiance, and biwtech captain. The sr71 is faster than all of them and the funny thing is it is smoother and quieter than the others too. Good bows but have bad support if you need something

You can get leftover doe tags in many units and have a great time. I did last year in unit 73. Got two doe tags. Also you can get a leftover buck tag in 30 or 31 and still have a good hunt. There is public land there but not much. You can pay a trespass fee and kill a good buck. Trespass fee will be 100-300 dollars for that unit. If you want you can get 6 tags for those units as there are so many leftover. Pm me for any further details

My vortex has killed everything i aimed it at from 100-600 yds. Accurate as heck. NO problems with it at the range or in the field. You must have had bad ones! Mine is way better than my leupold vx-3. Leaps and bounds better than that scope.
-
If you are considering a new scope I would look at the vortex viper scopes. A little better clarity than nikon and a great scope. You can find the older viper 6.5-20x44 for anywhere from 279.99 and up. The newer viper hs will run a little more. In the 450 range.
-
The answer is yes you can use it long range. I would feel comfortable at 600 with a 30-06. Definitely use a high BC bullet.
-
What area are you in? I am waiting on a few in 23 to drop

Had one for years. Great bow. Sold it and bought a strother sr71. The strother is even better. -
Leica crf 1600. Perfect rangefinder. Lightweight small and crystal clear.

Remington 700 BDL Question
AverageJoe replied to ready2hunt's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
They make slip on recoil pads If you want. 6a is a good unit for your hunt. Good bulls just about everywhere. -
Neither. Get the kaibabs. You will be happy

Why ceratin hunters dislike him is beyond me. Dislike nancy pelosi or the ACLU but why dislike one of your own? Ted may be a bit extreme but so am i. So are many hunters here in az. I agree with 99% of what he says. What he says makes sense. I like his interview in regards to gun control when he says," I am weird, i would rather the criminal be dead and the mother and daughter still be alive.". So true.
-
Viper hs. Like my viper better than the vari-x iii i had. Brighter.
-
Anyone having any luck in 6a? I called one in yesterday but couldnt seal the deal. Didnt hear anything after that. Nothing at all today. Anyone hearing gobbles?
-
I take it you dont mind helping azsfw rip tags away from the citizens of arizona. Buy anything from outdoorsmans and you are helping to damage hunting in arizona forever. Plenty of other tripods that are far superior and half the price. I would ask that you and anyone else in the market look into what the outdoorsmans owner tried to do to hunters in arizona. This goes far beyond an average boycott.
-
Get a slik. Boycott outdoorsmans due to their affiliation with azsfw.

Big boys still have antlers up north.
