Sportsmans Input Sought by ConserveandProtectAZ.org-Unit wide Raffle and Auction Tags
AverageJoe replied to Jay Scott's topic in The Campfire
The sportsmen of Arizona are not giving up more tags to rich folks...period! The ADA was all for it last time as well...as were many others. The only one who stood against it was Steve and Az Elk Society. John from ADA came on here and tried to fool everyone like he wasnt for it, then found out he was one of the ones pushing it. This is no different than last time BC777 dont be fooled. Last time they said the same thing, that there would be raffles so the ordinary folks would still have a chance at these tags. Then find out they were gonna raffle off cow elk tags and all the other crap no one wants and reserve the unit 9,10,23,1 early elk tags for their rich Hamberlain buddies. All the same arguments they will bring up was already tried and found to be BS...and defeated. Dont be fooled by anyone from any agency or hunting store (Outdoorsmans) stating it is a good thing for Az. It is only good for them and the prominant outfitters who will make more money from there being more out of state rich guys. The regular working class hunter will be screwed big time!! -
Already sent out numerous emails this morning. Hopefully there will be enough of us willing to fight it again. As soon as i heard Petes voice on the podcast i wanted to vomit.

Agreed...Keep in mind they want to take away the tags from the general draw and sell them to the highest bidder. Many of those tags from premium hunts so the draw odds get even worse for the "Average Joe". -

Sounds like AZSFW trying their BS tag grab again. Nothing new about it. -

Taylor Tasked With Defending Hunting For Debate @ High School
AverageJoe replied to lancetkenyon's topic in The Campfire
#6...yes animals are effected very negatively from the lack of human hunting (controlling species numbers in a scientific manner). Have you ever seen a herd die off from starvation or disease? it is not a pretty thing but it IS what happens if you just let nature control the ecosystem. It is sad and by far the worst way for an animal to die. Natures cycle is For the deer or elk herd to multiply and mulitply, causing a need for more predators (wolves, coyotes, lions, etc), disease, and lack of food for the prey. The predators in response to the healthy amount of food (prey) continue to multiply until they have reduced prey numbers to a very low almost unsustainable number...the predators then die off from starvation. Animals benefit from hunting by being able to maintain healthy herds throughout and reduce the highs and lows if you were to tend it on a graph. Human controlled Hunting allows enough food/water for the animals to not worry about starvation or disease as we dont let the numbers get out of hand. -
Trump has already pulled us out of BS treatys / agreements that were costing the US billions with no return on that investment. He completely stopped the flow of corrupt money coming into the country from the middle east (the beginning of drained the swamp), reformed taxes, dropped the (illegal) obamacare mandatory insurance mandate, and so much more just in his first year alone. The next 3 should be very interesting for sure. You cant go from a completely and horribly unbalanced budget to a perfectly balanced budget. It will take time...

Yes Bill you are dead on with this.... I really don't understand why they would do that crap in this new tax plan... What is costing you more? I mean what will you be paying $400 a month more for?
-
Definitely good! tax reform has needed to happen for a long time. I am getting almost $300 more a month thanks to the tax reform.

Looking for used Swaro 12x50 or 15x56 HD. PM me if you have any or know someone selling. Thanks.

No i dont think an accidental case such as yours should be the same as someone purposely poaching an animal out of season. Shouldnt even be close.

There is no way you got a class 2 felony unless they threw in something else on top of the game violation. I am not an internet lawyer, nor a lawyer of any kind. I did study law and enforce it for a while here in Az. Was the new hunter you were mentoring a minor? I would be curious to see what the official charges were so we can all understand your situation better. Wondering if they added something from title 13 on top of the game charges? Like maybe commiting a crime (game violation) but they added the fact tbat you commited a crime with a deadly weapon in presence of a minor? The whole thing doesnt seem right, and if that is the true story i would contact your congressman, news stations, and anyone else willing to listen. Thats a bunch of BS and should be overturned. Also get a new lawyer.

Huh? I just read through the ARS statutes and you would be guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor, not class 2 felony. I couldnt find anything about a class 2 felony. By any chance did this happen in Unit 1?

Wrong time of year -
They went up a little but not that bad.
-
Whats it cost on average? To go every year you would have to pay for the special draw tag which is around $600. Plus gas food and hotel if you dont camp. Honestly around 1200 a person for a 5 day trip. Harder to draw tags these days so applying for the special draw still gets you a guaranteed buck tag in a somewhat decent unit. Normal tag is only $330 but youll most likely only draw once every 2-3 years.

Seriously just go to wyoming. Can go every year if you are willing to pay

Sold. Thanks

Selling my Zeiss Conquest HD 15x56. Have had them on quite a few hunts but still look good. Asking $1000 located in Gilbert. Thanks.
-
Roughly 2-3 years old. They are indeed in very good shape. There are tiny marks in the objective lense that wont even show up on photos but they are there if you look hard enough in the right light.
