Its not about someone wanting it for themselves...usually about them not liking the idea of someones camera taking pics of them while hiking or doing whatever they do...still sucks for you

Considering I have used a 17 hmr with good results the 223 is just fine. I have always called them in close though. If further shots were part of the plan I would use 243 or 25-06.

I used to issue game tags to elk hit by vehicles...people didnt know they are allowed to take the meat if they were the ones that hit the elk. A lot of elk went to waste but some people were thrilled to take the meat.

Superformance ammo has always ran sub moa in my guns when shooting factory ammo. Consistancy has been decent from lot to lot. I prefer Hornady custom factory ammo as opposed to Superformance...not as fast but seems to shoot better.

Looked into that unit when I hunted 32 as there used to be tons of leftover tags there but not so much anymore. Hat six hunter management area can be good from a discussion with game and fish up there. I think its like a 6 mile by 1 mile area that holds decent antelope. Other than that a lot of private areas and Casper mountain takes up most of the southern boundary and doesnt have much antelope there. It is a very small unit so I decided not to hunt it.

The SST is a great elk round. 3 dead elk at 300, 600, and 600 agree. Might not be the best choice at 100 yds but none of the better bc bullets are.
