    javelina meat

Javelina is delicious if you take care of it in the field. Javelina bakstrap is better than deer or elk IMO.

    crash

I had a very minor rear end collision on my toyota tacoma. It was maybe 5 months old when it happened. My bumper was bent down in the rear and bed was slightly bowed. They were going to just "pull" the frame to straighten but I said I would not accept that. They did not total the vehicle but ended up replacing the entire frame and bed. Total repair damage came to $21000 but they would not total it as the value of the the vehicle was still high enough that the damage was not above 70% of the total vehicle value. I was within like 1% of it just being totaled.

    Major back fire or coincidence?

More hunters in the field in general. Hunting is becoming much more popular imo. Even liberals are starting to hunt. I for one want as many hunters as possible in the field and am constantly trying to recruit new hunters. This is my way of ensuring hunting will continue long after i am gone. I dont give a dang if i dont deaw a tag as often or get that 400" bull. Its all about the big picture.

Expensive optics - anyone have buyers regret???

Resale value is the same percentage wise. New swaro el's retail for 2800 and will sell used for 2200. Thats 78% of retail. The old swaro 15's are 1800 new resale 1400 maybe 1500. Vortex razors retail for 1200 and resale for 1000...kaibabs around 900. Zeiss new are 1600 and resale for 1300. So resale percentage wise is roughly the same throughout the brands.

You want some peanut butter to go with that jelly? Be right back selling 10 year old pair of swarovskis for $300 less than original purchase price. ??

Expensive optics - anyone have buyers regret???

Yes i regretted it and sold them. I got wrapped up in the cycle of thinking i "needed" better optics to help me hunt better. That is lie and will only empty your wallet. Yes they are clearer but in reality i can find just as many animals with vortex as i can with swaros.

    what did I do wrong?

If it was the normal closed reed cottontail call those have been used to death in all parts of the state and dont work as well. Get your self and open reed call or a coyote howl and try that next time. And definitely dont blow too hard on your first call.

Wanting to replace my Ar trigger

Our Marine Corps m16's had a two stage trigger in them. They were very nice triggers and very precise.

Wanting to replace my Ar trigger

The timney is a great trigger as always. I have one in my ar...its a simple drop in trigger once the old one is removed. Not as crisp it seems as a normal timney for a remington but still very good.

Can I ship a rifle to a ffl in another state

Yes you can...or if worried just go to quentin defense in gilbert and they will do it for $20. That is what i do now for all outgoing ffl transfers

    7mm or .308?

While i am not a ballistic nut i would say the jacketed lead bullet has a higher bc. Seems if they both have the same profile the longer one would have more surface area and cause more drag along that surface area....but i am not a physics expert so i could be exactly wrong...lol
