Yes found a good deal on a used leica. The leupold is almost as good but leica still edges it out on clarity.

Self guided is the only way i would hunt sheep. And yes in your situation you will still have a good chance.

The new bfg ta KO2 are supposed to get closer to 60-70k. I have had them for 15k and tread depth is still same as new.

there are obviously companies still making it because 7wsm ammo is on the shelf all the time at sportsmans and cabelas. Just dont know why they arent making the brass commercially available.

Get whatever you like the most. To each their own. Some like vortex and some like swaros. Some like leica and some zeiss. The truth...they are all good and all will find game. Get what makes you happy.

Have you checked everything over yourself to pinpoint it? Have never had that happen on any remington. Rear action screw not protruding? Does it happen on a dry fire or only live rounds? When you pull the trigger does the bolt release a bit then get hung up, or does it not even release?

Sounds like your firing pin spring is getting hung up then releasing. When you pull your bolt apart is there excessive bend in the spring? Could be rubbing the inside of the housing which happens from time to time. When it rubs could be canting the firing pin causing it to catch the edge of the pin hole before striking the primer. A fix is to replace firing pin spring with aftermarket. Was told this by a gunsmith a few years ago. Hadnt heard of it ever happening til you posted that.

SFP. I know it is tacticool to have FFP so people can pretend they are a sniper, but i have this cool device called a rangefinder to figure my range. Would love to know how many of you with FFP actually know how to range using Mils, which is the only reason for it.

Price?

Each year for the last 8 years or so the odds are getting worse. Has nothing to do with the draw deadline. Used to be so easy to draw units like 32 and 73 they even had leftovers. Now you need 3 points at least. Hate to say it but its the result of hunting forums and things like eastmans if you ask me. Wyoming is becoming more and more popular and people who would have never hunted it before are now applying and willing to make the drive. At least more people are hunting and interested in it so its a trade off.
