Nice Vid and Buck! -
In unit 33, I had someone put a chain and lock on a forest service gate to make it look like the road was closed. It was not locked but was wrapped around to make it look locked. The lock was not on the weekend before the hunt. Me an my bother went on in to our spot, and someone came to greet us. We asked him if he put the lock on the gate, and he did not answer our question. He said " let's not try and get in each others way". Moron! We we were backpacking in, so we never saw him again. His camp and lock were gone we we came back through. I figure that you are going to see hunters when you camp on public land, and sometimes a lot of campers/hunters. All I ask if you are a jerk do not camp next to me. Do not get me wrong, I have met a lot of nice people hunting. I do not think setting up a camp and camping in it is the right thing to do. Plus your stuff will probably end up missing. Okay I am done ranting.

The youth hunt next weekend is a doe hunt, 400 permits.

We went Scouting last weekend. We saw over 100 deer. That got my son excited about going. We also saw lots of turkey. Here are some pics that he took. Including the deer he wants to get. Thanks for the tips and we will see how the 12a youth hunt goes. As an added bonus he wants to practice some more instead of playing video games.

Magellan has a GPS that is can down load 7.5 minute maps from topo. I am assuming that Garmin is coming out with something similar. After using a mapping GPS I am not going back. Ken

Here is a good place to start. http://papadutch.home.comcast.net/dutch-ov...pes.htm#Recipes http://papadutch.home.comcast.net/ Here is what we use for my sons Scout troop http://www.macscouter.com/Cooking/DutchOven.html http://www.dutchovendude.com/dutch-oven-recipes.asp My favorite is game hens and corn on the cob. -
Thanks for the tip on the phone lines working. I kept getting a busy signal on the land line, but my cell phone got through right away. No Antelope Me and my brother drew muzzleloader cow tags in 4b. My son did not draw a junior elk tag. If he is real good I might just transfer my tag to him. Thanks

It sucks when someone steals from you, it sucks even more when you happen to be out hunting or camping. I like to get out, to get away from it all. It seems like it follows me more and more. -
Nothing here? For my bonus points I have a loyalty point for everything but Elk? What is up, I put in for Elk every year? I got drawn for Elk and Deer last year? 9 points for Sheep and Ant!

No deductions from the game and fish from my account.

My kids have taken up an interest in archery, and are ready to be taught archery. When I was learning to shoot a bow, I learned how to release on a 5 lb bow that could be dry fired. Has any one heard of this type of bow? Where can I find one? It was my understanding the bows could also be used to determine your draw length. Thanks
