We have a tendency to make it more complicated than it is. I'm pretty sure we could cover the spectrum of bullet drop with only 3 differant charts from your exbal program. 165grn 300 ultra, 180grn 300 whatever, 165grn 308. One of these 3 could be applied to whatever your shooting and find it pretty darn close. shayne

I have been thinking about rebarreling my Win mdl 70 270wsm to 6.5 rem mag but the wsm has a slightly bigger bolt face. It would probably be fine but I hav'nt got that far yet. By the way, there is no logic involved in this redo, just trying something differant. I have a 260 and a 6.5-06 but they are not quite perfect so i keep building. shayne

I'm very concerned about losing my backpack with my signed tag. If someone forges my signiture the Game and Fish CSI team would be able to track down the culprit and surely offer me another tag. You have to plan ahead. Shayne

If that's mine it has 2 granola bars, 2 bottles of water, some tp, a space blanket, a couple of allen wrenches, small flat screwdriver, twine, flashlight and a headlamp with extra batteries, a pen to sign my tag, 2 small knives with a sharpener, gloves, stocking cap, extra pair of socks and 10 rounds of rem 260 ammo. Amanda knows where to find me. Shayne

I just had a remington 700 223 rebarreled by Shaw with a 1x8 twist barrel and have been very satisified. Good price, quick turn around and it shoots awesome. I'm looking through the safe right now trying to decide what other rifle needs to be rebarreled. Shayne

If you go with a spray lube, which I prefer, go to Sinclair International and order a lube rack that stands the shells in an upright position. It really makes things easy. shayne -

Hey Jim, Good idea with the clear tape. I'm in Yuma and it's kind of hot here in the summer, when I used the white electrical tape it would stretch after it sat a while in the heat. I like the white with a black marker, I can see it in the field without my glasses. I'm over half a century old, don't ya know! I also use the Exbal program with a handheld personal computer, fun tool when you are thinking about changing bullets and velocity. To Couses7, anytime we shoot at something over 300 yards you usually have time to take a moment to get set up, and even if you don't have much time it seems like with some practice you can get dialed in pretty darn quick. I did'nt know I was so long winded,,, Shayne

I like the tape on your turret. I've started to do the same thing. Makes me a lot more willing to change things when I'm not worried about matching up with an $80 knob. Shayne
