There are literally deer ALL iver the unit. ANYWHERE youll find deer and bucks. From the dry well all the way over to Pina Blanca had fires. However it will be very green with the rain and vegetation will still be perfectly suitable for deer. I drive and scout and look lots between now and the Oct hunt. Shoot me a PM if you want to roam around for a day down there. Get high, unlike what some will tell you you do not need to be in the middle of no where. Lots of 100-115 deer taken right off the road in the unit. ANy road.

anyone in town have the 6-24x50 Viper PST scope I can look through on a rifle? I want to be sure I like the reticle and the clarity is as fgood as people say

I have a 7mm rifle that is ready to go hunting minus a scope. I bought the freaking rifle a couple years ago and you know how it is something ALWAYS comes up. Before deer season I want to put a rifle scope on this rifle which will allow for consistent 500 yard shots. I was really thinking of going with a Leupold VX3L as the customer service I have gotten in years past was top notch. I am looking around the 1k mark and I am leaning towards maybe a Vortex scope. I know everyone has posted different opinions on this. Im looking at the Viper PST in a 50mm objective. I am also leaning towards a 4x16 but what is everyones opinions about a 6-24? Anyone in the Phoenix area have one of these scopes mounted I can look through? It really is a pain to go in a shop and look as it is just not the same. Im also looking for big eye binos..... Once again it seems that at the Vortex Kaibab HD 15x56 is the way to go. I am also leaning towards these binos. Anyone in the phoenix area rent these out? Does anyone have a pair I could borrow and mount on my tripod? Always looking for great deals on a gteat product with outstanding customer service.. any ideas?

I have a VXII on my 30-06 3-9x40. Love the scope but want a little more and adjustable turret. I was looking at getting a VX3L. But then thinking about one of the Vortex KAIBAB scopes...

the new federal warden that lives in 36b is a complete douche bag. have had numerous run ins with him in the last 2 years since he started.

I went with a couple members the last couple years. This year my schedule is a little more predictable and set in stone. So I will probably be headed to 36b pretty often on Sundays or Mondays. I would prefer Mondays but not many have a Monday off. My GF has Sat/Sun off so Mon is a free day.. HAHAHA I have a couple trail cameras I would not mind putting up... I know its hot... get up at 3, drive out and be in 36b by 7..... beat the heat for a couple hour hike and lots of driving and scouring the hills form the A/C jeep. HAHAHAHA ANyone up for it?

Ill be honest with you. I have a place in Arivaca, and Hunt 36A and B ALL the time. I scout there all the time. I have always supported that people are off their rockers about it being so dangerous. look through my post history on the subject. This year during hunting season I know of 2 people personally from 2 different groups jumped by illegals and smugglers. One was with his buddy caping. He walked a bit away to pee and was jumped from out of the bushes. they were waiting on him. He yelled for help to his buddy and this was one time he did not bring his pistol with him to pee. BP apprehended 1 of the 3 guys. This is getting bad down there. I am WAY cautious down there now.

I believe it was probably me if It was early Saturday morning. Xtra Cab with a whitetail deer and a .com sticker on it in the middle. We were out geocaching the first of the month on a Saturday morning.

First hunt about 1 mile out of Arivaca we saw a group of 8-10 and a group of 20-25 lots of water stations set up as well

Hope the hunter is all right. as far as I know he was flight for lifed towards Tucson. ANyone know the details? By a hunter? when loading his gun? Hope he is alright
