Well I am can tell you that my one freaky experience happened one night at 1am when I left to go pee. Put on my sandles and put my pistol holster on. Boxers, sandals and gun with pecker in hand I realized there were 32 illegals standing in camp. Called to my buddy to gran the spotlight and to bp. They all were handled! -

im living right in the heart of 36a, well and close enough to B across the street : When are your hunt dates? I will be having a big BBQ one of the nights -
Did some scounting around 36A and 36B. I have a place where I always see bucks. Have had two first timers get there dear opening morning two years in a row here. I rolled up and saw this first buck. He was about 100 yards off and I was with a couple bow hunters and when we got moving he spooked. A second buck that was behind the upper right tree followed behind them. As i was looking for them I saw another even bigger buck grazing. three huge bucks within 40 yards of each other. Then saw this cute little fawn that appears to be very very young. This is actually a ghost town called "Old GLory" They had a post office and everything. I will have to dig out some pics of this building a few years ago when it still had a steel roof. I am sure the hippies stole the roof off as the steel was no where to be found. Oh and if you did not notice it was VERY VERY green and these last pics were weeds taller then my lifted jeep.

Who is your hunting partner? I'm not saying your friend didn't do as he says, but Ed Stockwell was a friend and I can't imagine anyone teaching him "about hunting." His bee-keeping business kept him outdoors in some of Arizona's best whitetail country year around, and in the last years of his life he was one of our state's better hunting guides. Bill Quimby I am related to and hunt with all the schaffners. I should have said did as old man Schaffner has passed as well. The middle brother Richard is my best friend. As you roll in to Arivaca that had the big acre lot house on the left for YEARS. lots of pics of the Schaffners up in the Arivaca. The middle brother Richard worked for ed for years as well working all his bees. Kim poolen also learned to hunt with the Schaffners. I think his deer is now number 5-6 not sure, it was number 2-3 but has slipped over the years. His deer was a complete accident. We have a house off 3rd st in Arivaca now and one of us is there every weekend this time of year. If you guys want to know about hunting these guys have tons of stories between the 3 schaffner brothers who all lived in arivaca from the time they were born till they were well out of high school. Frank the youngest boy lives by the longbranch now.

I have a G26 that is usually on me except when hunting. It gets cleaned way less then it needs to be and i carry it 365. I shoot 100-200 rounds a week from it actuallly probably 100 and another 100-200 in my other pistols. I have NEVER had not one bullet jam in this gun. My .40 G23 I throw in the jeep next to my drivers seat along with my Tauras Raging Bull 44MAG. both are excellent guns and both have never let me down. Dont be afraid of a semi auto amming. A good quality gun just does not jam like people make them out to. If it does, eject the round and pull the trigger again. What some people call a "JAM" is really what is referred to as a "stove piping"

I have hunted both and am hunting 36a this year in the late nov hunt. Put in for a or b and ill take you around a bit. Been in the areas ALOT. My hunting partner taught Kim Poolen and Ed Stockwell about hunting. 2 of the top couese deer record holders.

Is the black one an Arizona black rattlesnake? -
i have had two cams stolen in 36b the last two years.... 4 total. They are always in weird spots.... I know it had to be illegals who caught the flash at night.

this is a true story....... We were in 36b scouting before hunting season three years ago. We were on the top of a hill and we could see three canyons over. It was one of those days where we hiked alot to get up there and i had packed a lunch to sit and relax. Well about 9am i had seen this figure crest a hill and he disappeared down in the canyon about 2 canyons over. Well around noon-1 oclock he had crested the ridge in front of us and we started watching him. This ridge was across the flats about 800 yards as the crow flies away then was a tall ridge. Well we watched him for about 20-30 minutes work his way down the ridge. He attracted our attention as he had shorts, t shirt and a pretty hefty full back pack on. Along with a rifle... no hunting rifle but an AR or something like that. Well all of a sudden he had looked up our direction and took off running. I kid you not this guy took off running across the flats and up the next ridge and over the top. As the crow flies maybe 1000 yards to the base of the mtn ridge and he ran up and over it without stopping, slowing down or ANYTHING. We were amazed. I am quite sure he was not a hunter and wonder what he had in the back pack but it was quite interesting. now illegals.... I have seen literally thousands of them littering idiots.

I know I put one up for during the hunt and we will have one but I will probably be back down to Arivaca a few times before hunting season starts. How many scout much before the season? If you do we can plan a Saturday Scouting BBQ as well. If anyone is up for it. LEt me know if you scout around Arivaca.

I like to start going out this time of year and see what is running around, where they are running around and of course see if my drops from last years missed montster is still laying around. Oddly enough (not this year) I found a nontypical drop tine set of drops within 10 feet of each other two years in a row. Heres a few pics of what I was able to take. We saw a few WT bucks, a few mulie bucks and about a dozen Doe last Saturday. and of course, if anyone knows 36b or travels it much this Duramax has been sitting way out in the middle of no where since around January. oddly enough unmolested (guess no one really goes out there) It could not make it back up a hill and obviously broke a tie rod. Then the driver must have hiked out
-
Right down warsaw canyon. It really does not look like a stolen vehicle. The doors are not punched, the steering colmn is fine, you can see where he went down the hill and turned around only to not make it up. Piled rocks and boards in the ruts to get traction and it appears as that is when the tie rod broke.
