thought i'd share a couple highlights off my cams today
gotcoues replied to azstroops's topic in Trail Cameras
He's gonna be a great deer, hope he sticks around. Would love to see some updates on him! Good luck -
To best of my knowledge you are not aloud to bait bear for any purpose including scouting photos. Best bet is to try and find the trail leading in to water you think they're using. Thieves suck, and leaving your cam at water is probably a really bad idea. If you can find more isolated pockets of water in thick brushy canyons, you'll most likely get bears on your cam and not have to worry so much about the dirtbags. Good luck

5th ANNUAL CWT MARSHALL LAKE GET TOGETHER
gotcoues replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Oh man, now that right there is some funny stuff from the boys. HARSH, but oh so funny! I'm dying over here, ya good stuff. -
I just called the Main Office in Tucson and was informed a meeting is taking place discussing when to reopen the unaffected areas of the forest. I was advised to call back tomorrow for better details. I'm sure ready to get out there and do some hiking/scouting, hope it opens soon.

10'? Well, you could pet him easier that way.

You boys and girls in NM are clearly getting the shaft. Very sad indeed, good luck to you all. Landowner tags....75%? What a joke!

I also have a 365 gross bull and he is 6ft with the head slightly lowered (54" main beams)

This post brings back bad memories. I feel like the box you referenced as being pried open was mine
-
That's a stout box, not sure how someone w/o some serious tools would get it. They could come back with a cordless sawzall and dissect the tree to get it home. The real question here however, are those OSHA approved sandals your wearing in the work shop? Taking a picture of what looks to be an obvious violation and then posting it on the internet probably isn't the best idea

The Doc's are great glass, I own two pair. They're bulkier than the Swaros, that would be my biggest complaint along with customer services issues. As far as the quality of the glass and finding more game, I think the price does not justify the difference in the two different glass. If price is a concern stick with the Doc's, Swaros will not make you a better hunter/glasser IMO. I do prefer my Swaros since I've purchased them, but I only did so because I got a steal on them at $1100.00 or else I'd still be lugging my trusty Ol' Doc's. A friend just purchased the Kaibab's and they looked pretty sweet, but I haven't sat on the hillsides for hours/days on end to really give a good opinion on them.

I was clearly just joking, I was fully aware you did not mount the bobcat. Hence the "JK". I merely commented on it because you stated you did not do it. Very sorry if you got offended Scottyboy, your mounts look fantastic and I surely didn't mean any harm. My apoligies Sincerely, Justin
-
Nice looking mounts right there. I especially like the bobcat that Scottyboy did for you in the background.... JK! I was going to come help out one day on opening weekend but Tracy didn't know the area well enough to give me directions and cell phone service was a little spotty. I never got "the call".

I believe it's Rabid Apache who makes his own equipment. Very cool, interesting fella indeed.

Looks great, buck is a nice touch.

Great buck for sure!!!

DITTO on that assessment! Check my cams, replaced batts the day before the closure. Can't wait to get back.

Tracy (Gr8 White Jr) switched to the Easton Flatlines from the Epics I believe and has had an awful time with the blazer vanes falling off. I was with him at corner archery when he dropped the arrows off for the fourth time. Not sure what it's all about, just thought I'd share. He's never had this problem until he switched to the flatlines.

Does anyone plan on staying until Sunday afternoon? Just curious if people were planning on leaving Saturday or Sunday. -

Just terrible, so many people just like you and your family. I know a lot of these cabins were built with blood and sweat. I spent many hours glassing the Turkey Creek area. I'm a drywall contractor here in Tucson, let me know when your getting close to the drywall phase. I'd like to volunteer a day or two to help out with the taping and texturing. God bless you and your family and all the unlucky ones out there right now.

Newbie Question about the deer tag draw
gotcoues replied to Airbusdriver's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Personally, I purchase the archery tag and also apply for the rifle hunt. At the very least you should purchase a bonus point for the draw every year. -
There must be some sort of mistake, I didn't get drawn? I tried to call and the phones are busy. Don't they know who I am?
