What a great deal, 4 for 4! The huge war party pic with everyone was really neat. Love seeing all those kids out there together. Just doesn't get much better than that. Well, until Josh puts on the encore! Good luck to him and congrats to everyone else

I missed your story on this buck, congrats on a very unique buck. Really enjoyed how you write it up with the pics.

I purchased the Eberlestock Just One pack from Santana Outdoors, they had the best deal going and are sponsors of the site as well. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, I've had the Just One pack since Oct and have had it out it the field quite a few times. Last month I put an entire coues deer in the pack minus the head and cape plus my gear. Pack rode well, as it was all uphill to the truck and the load felt fine with no problems. On the customer service end, Eberlestock shipped out a broken part with extras. I broke a black clip that holds the strap that goes across the chest. Even though it was my fault it broke and I admitted it over the phone, they wasted no time in double checking for the correct part and shipped it right out free of charge. I highly recommend this pack to anyone interested in a higher end pack. Great pack and it seems they are they're on the ball with customer service. Justin

Video from this years rutting season

I liked the video, great compilation. Is it possible to zoom in on a video clip, crop it and have a new video clip? I've been playing around with Windows Movie Maker and trying to learn all the features -
Man, that is sad to hear. I sent three emails total and had a response within a day on each of them. I used the generic email on their website.

Tried to send you a pm Gino, but your box was full

Sweet, can't wait to check out the video Congrats Jared

Awesome buck! Any chance you could post some pics with different angles. Your paperwork was right next to mine when I picked up my deer meat. I was pretty sure I recognized the name from some of your other posts. Congrats on a really neat buck

Tine's, I like your idea of turning in unused tag, but I don't think honesty is the issue. As long as you didn't use a butcher or taxidermist, a dishonest person could easily put a tag on two or even three deer a year. They replace tags no questions asked for a small few if you say you lost it.

I thought they were going to address this so you were going to be able "try again". Example: OTC archery deer tag and Oct rifle tag, if unsuccessful on your hunt (s) you could purchase left over tag for 36A Nov rifle. As long as the bag limit is still only one, they should keep selling the tags. I do not think it's fair to rifle deer hunters to only be able to hunt one week (excluding Dec tags), if they do not tag out, they should have access to purchase a left over and try again I hope they change this rule asap.

I received the same e mail as AZLance today.

This photo was taken when I was already at full draw, found it this morning while looking at trail camera pics. Thought it was definitely pretty cool. Too bad it wasn't set to video mode, the coverts take awesome video clips I took this nice looking 3x4 on Sunday night around 5 from my treestand. Treestands are set at 25 feet to the foot platform Shot was 30 yards Buck piled up less than 200 yards on a downhill death run My good friend Hank was my co-pilot in the opposite facing stand. The stands are on a narrow ridge and we can both see into each side of the draw on our perspective sides of the ridge. The way I positioned the stands it's hard for the deer to sneak up on us. We still managed to get busted by a buck at 40 yards while we were on a "stretch" break in the morning. I've been hunting coues out of treestands since 06'or maybe Jan of 07' (mind is a terrible thing to lose) and until this hunt, been unsuccessful. I've easily logged 300 hours, passed several mid size bucks and many, many dinkers. Missed a nice 90+ buck a couple of seasons back which hurt pretty bad. At times, my patience has to been tried to the limit with one early season logging almost 90 hours in a treestand. It's all good now, and I can only hope my next treestand buck takes far less hours hanging out in my sky chair! I've picked a few brains of other CWT members along this journey, I sincerely thank you all for the great advice I've gotten. As an added bonus, my wife sat in the stands with me Saturday and endured some pretty cold weather for the morning. It was a great time and we saw some small bucks and plenty of deer, even got busted while climbing the ladder to slip into the stands. My ugly mug This is my wife Colleen dressed to survive the morning, we have laughed out loud many times over this picture. Here's a pic of my treestands, I own many types and these are hands down the most comfortable I have found (You can shoot a bow with the arm rest down) My coues buck

Delicious Coues Steak and Burger Prepared by "CHEF"
gotcoues replied to elkster9's topic in Cooking Wild Foods
Looks yummy, We love the coues table fare. Colleen me made a "coues deer casserole" for dinner tonight. Seasoned coues burger, egg noodles and two cheeses' plus a few other little goodies thrown in. Quick, easy and darn tasty -
Hunted a couple days Last week with a friend who has one on his bow. He really likes his this set up, it had a laser light on it. Personally I wasn't at all impressed. It also had arc technology in it.

I was sending another member a pm and when I finished I hit view new posts and since I was in the member section, this is what I got. Seems to me, most are bogus? gotcoues replied to GRONG's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
That's a great buck Josh, that middle pic looks like a big ol eastern w a coues rack. Kinda funny, sent Tim a pm asking where the other bucks were from your guys' trip. You posted this big guy right after. Hoping the other gents were successful as well, sounds like a great ranch! -
People have been joining all day with bogus names, I'm sure you'll be able to make another purchase soon Bull.... , I mean rat or whatever

Your welcome I have only seen a few advertisement type hacks on the site, one was porn and the other shoes if I remember correct. How often does the site get invaded with such garbage? I know you guys are quick to delete it, one time I texted Tracy to check out the invasion of the site and it was gone before he got online and opened CWT. You admin troops are pretty fast on the draw!
