My buddy Harvey and I went in half on an older ranger (02). It only had 300 hours on it and it belonged to a good friend of mine. Just bought it this week, but I have used it before on my hunts and also the previous owner's hunts. I've always loved this machine and I've been wanting to take it off his hands for years. Hopefully I'll be a "satisfied" Ranger owner after a few years.

I've been looking at a camera by Spypoint which is a two part set up. The main camera sets up as you normally would install your cameras. The second part is the "black box" which can be hidden up to 250' away I believe. The main camera sends the pics to the hidden black box and if your camera is stolen, most likely the thief's picture will be taken and you would at least not loose your pictures and probably have the low life scum on camera. The down fall is, I believe both units take an sd card and I think the main camera still stores the pics as well as sends them to the black box. I would be happier if the thief didn't get any pictures but I'm not positive about this detail. I have a hodge podge of new and old cameras, so buying a "new line up" is not in my immediate future, but I really like this concept! This new product will have many copy cats out there within no time. It's just too good of an idea for it not to take hold. I'm assuming with this new design, we will have thieves' ugly mugs plastered on the web for all to see. I'm not a huge fan of placing a second camera, the lose of one is bad enough, two would be just unbearable!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/07/09/political-statemate-leads-to-city-workers-salaries-cut-down-to-minimum-wage-in/?intcmp=trending I don't agree with this move at all! Guess when you kick the can down the road long enough this is a possible outcome! -
Both are outstanding trophies! U have to be out there to "get lucky", no shame in that. Nice job, awesome looking mounts

Gunsmith, are they under a pending category? My pending charges are immediate, posting takes two or three days on my credit card

I'm predicting gps locater soon. I'm planning on investing in a new set up. Camera w a black box. Black box is capable of 250' transmission of pics. At least the thief will be on camera and u don't lose your pics

If you've seen soooo many stickers, you should probably be able to spell whitetail correctly. Good luck, the unfortunate truth is cameras get stolen all the time. It's a risk you take. If you want to catch the thief, go on spypoint.com and buy a dummy camera for 29.99 plus shipping. Set it up in the same place and put a real camera up in a very very discreet location to take a pic of the culprits. New guy shouldn't go pointing fingers, wrong or right, you have no way of knowing who took it. P.S. a forest service crew stole one of my cameras and I know this to be factual.

Looks like it's finally going to happen - first Kaibab hunt
gotcoues replied to Coach's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I had to put in for a bonus point for deer this time around.... the hard times for taking a buck in Jan haha I plan on putting in for 13b first choice and either 13b archery or maybe 12aw for second choice. It took 7 years last time I tried this formula and ended up drawing 12ae, our second choice. We didn't see but one big buck (harvested by my hunting partner) and I wished we would have looked up high and not gone for seeing #s down low. Hard lesson learned on that one. Fortunately, this time around we will be able to get leftover tags for down South. I went w/o a rifle deer tag for 7 yrs and WILL NOT be doing that again. I hear the mega monsters are hiding in 13b. Hope this hunt is everything you hoped and you find a big one that makes it worth the wait. Whatever the tag may be, good luck on your hunt! -
Card was hit today early this morning. My boys both have jr deer and jr javi tags. My daughter also drew a wt tag. I put all of us in separate for sheep to create the illusion that one of us might actually have a chance to draw one! Where is David Copperfield when you need him, Cmon sheep charge! Congrats to the lucky sheep tag holders so far!

Either there are two monster bucks on a hill along side the bobcat that is as big as a lion or I'm not getting a left over tag in 36B. So which is it!?
-
The police should be able to attain the list. Probably should file a report. Hope your able to get it back

2 monster bucks and a big ....... bobcat up in there!

Don t you have to sign in at Ben Avery? I've only been there once, but I thought we signed in for use of the archery range.

City workers cut to minimum wage salaries
gotcoues replied to gotcoues's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I also think he did this as a publicity stunt to get his tax hike passed like stated in the article. I can't see local police and fire fighters making minimum wage. I'm curious to see how this pans out in the next few weeks. -

No way, I wouldn't feel that way. I agree with pay cuts, but man this guy's political future is at the end of its rope I would think..... -

gotcoues replied to darrcolburn's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Great price structure for the younger shooter's. Kudos to you guys! -
Here are a couple of the pics of the actual tent, the Cabela's pic shows tent with vestibule option. Only pic they show unfortunately. List price is $1,099.00 I believe plus any tax/shipping costs you might incur This tent has a 5 star rating with over 100 reviews 12x20 Cabela's Ultimate Alaknak Outfitter Series Tent tent also includes new ropes and guy lines for this specific tent (new in box) and the nicer style steel nail type tent stakes Wal-mart sells with the green tops (used). Pic of actual stove type (shown w/o vent pipe extensions). Extensions are included. Tent temperature can be regulated through adjustments on vent pipe and adjustments on front door This is not the cheapy kit stove Cabela's shows as an add on with tent purchase, but it is a much nicer one. List price is $405.00 I believe plus any tax/shipping costs you might incur

Check out the link for the stove, this is a heavy duty deal. I've used this set up where the lows were in the single digits on the kaibab. These is a professional set up for a fraction of the price. Great deal, I highly recommend this set up!

I have a Vortex Dakota, brand new (unopened) in the box I'll let go for $150. I own two others and I really like this type set up. I use it for my 15's, spotter and gun claw to hold rifles.

August is just around the corner! Big Sweet's Cousin

Gotta love the grey ghost! Great pic, this is the kind of buck that lurks in my dreams. -
I think back to all the really bad choices I've made in life. I'm grateful that most turned out to be lessons learned instead something much bigger and much worse. My family and I along with close friends were camping at Crab Tree (Apache Lake) a little over a year ago. There were two young couples camped next to us who were doing their fair share of drinking. At some point, one of the guys decided to fire off a flare gun. First one dropped into Apache and the second landed up the hill about 250 yards from camp. I fire quickly broke out and EVERYONE was ordered to evacuate with our trailers and or camping gear as the fire grew in size. He certainly ruined our trip, but whatever happened to him was most likely pretty severe, as he was detained and arrested. I'm under the understanding that all costs incurred are past onto the guilty party and they can't file bankruptcy. Is it true, they're wages can be garnished for life for these type events?

6TH ANNUAL CWT.com MARSHALL LAKE GET-TOGETHER
gotcoues replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
We had a great time attending this year. Really enjoyed the hospitality and getting to meet some more great folks from the cwt community. A big thank you to Lance and his family for hosting such a great event this weekend! Thanks to Ty and Weston for helping on the fishing outings and giving my boys some fishing tips. Dillon wanted me to mention how much fun he had with a the other kids two nights in row playing capture the flag. This was truly a first class event and anyone who could of come and didn't missed out for sure. This was our camp we carved out among the many others. Cody, Collin, Dillon & Weston Cody & Dillon No fish caught, but Dillon landed a few of these whoppers! Same with Cody Colleen bought Cody and Dillon each ten raffle tickets and Dillon was drawn second in the raffle. He was able to score one of the two cameras in the raffle. Jackson obviously needs to invest in lottery tickets because he cleaned house with his tickets (everything on the table)! Dillon & Jackson with their prizes Cody shooting his "birthday bow" for the first time Colleen and I thought Ricca and Tank were just the coolest dogs. Colleen told me Ricca was indeed the famous "Sprocket" from Jim Hensen's Fraggle Rock. Here ya go Doug! (Doug was unaware that his dog starred in the kids show Fraggle Rock), so I am posting the proof right here on CWT
