Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! I hear ya! Hunting season has only been over for 6 days and all I can think about is next season. That is why I am trying to prepare in the meantime. Sounds like we have the same issue. : P

    Which Pack??

I purchased two of the large accessory pouches when I purchased my Just On which are about the exact size of swaro 15s to give you an idea. I now use these on my outdoorsmans pack. They buckle on the side of the belt very easy. Check out Santana Outdoors who is a site sponsor. They used to give a free item and also %10 discount if you ask to CWT members on their eberlestock packs. Also, the eberlestock bladders are top notch, but save some cash and buy a source bladder which is what an eberlestock bladder actually is with their name put on it. (I believe)

    Which Pack??

Out of the Eberlestock packs you mentioned, I prefer the Just one pack. I'm not as familiar with the Team Elk pack as it is a newer option from Eberlestock. I sold my Just One after I bought an outdoorsmans optics pack. I think the way the pack fits you and feels is more important than saving 2-3 pounds. The outdoorsmans pack is a work horse and will easily hold 100lbs and it distributes the weight extremely well. I routinely travel long distances with the total weight from 40-60lbs and I cant even tell I hauled the weight the next day. Although the rifle scabbard on the Eberlestock packs is sweet, I hate the fact you can't sit down with you pack on and also if you slip and go down on your butt, your goin down on your barrel. Great packs, but the outdoorsmans is better in my opinion. If you use a bipod it won't fit unless your ebelerstock has the bigger scabbard. Good luck

    Minimum age to build points

Sorry about giving bad information. I don't recall this topic every coming up before and I have alway thought you could build points earlier than ten. I think Game and Fish is throwing away revenue in this case. If a father is willing to buy his child a license and bonus points for ten yrs, I do t see the harm in his child having a better shot at premium tags in his early yrs of big game hunting. On the other hand, "shadow applications" IE grandma's application being used to sign over tags to jr is a bit much IMO. Again, sorry about the bad info.

    Minimum age to build points

Pretty sure as long as your willing to buy the hunting license every year you can start now and buy a bonus point each yr for elk/goat/sheep etc.

134 Yard Archery Shot on 6x6

Just threw my popcorn in the microwave..... looks like I have four bags Hunting over bait and luring an animal to hopefully 20 yards is clearing unethical and now also against the law. Shooting 100 yards plus at game with a bow is clearly how the "cam hanes" bowhunters roll and it is legal according to law and ethical to some. Pun intended

    WTB Zebu Cow Decoy

Brian, I called Rich, the owner of Outfoxed Products and asked if he had anymore. I have one and I'm a believer, so I can't sell mine lol I'll let you know what he says when he returns my voicemail. I didn't realize they were no longer for sale. He did tell me the politics of selling hunting products can be fierce. An example he gave me is a bigger company, I shall not name, threatened to remove all their stuff from the shelves if Outfoxed products were sold next to theirs. It's tough to be the little guy when your up against that kind of BS!
  16. It does seem that AZ is playing catch up with how the other states have been "robbing" their out of state hunters. I also thought their was a temporary license available for small game. I think fees across the board are too high personally. I have a hunting family of 5 and we apply for pretty much all species every time. I thought it was the greatest deal you can now kill two javelina per year and get three or more tags in which to make that happen. They increased the price for javelina for 2014, which amounts to a lot of money for me due to the fact I purchase multiple tags for more than one family member.

    2014 pigs?

My wife Colleen went out with me last Saturday afternoon. We hiked to a vantage point and I quickly picked up a large herd while glassing. The shot was a touch back, but the rage overcompensated for that with a giant entrance and exit wound. Blood trail was impressive and pig fell over at about 30 yards. This was the first big game animal Colleen has seen me take so it was a special deal indeed.

    Baiting Javelina

Outfitter X mastered the art of taking P&Y wt bucks over bait for his clients. G&F do not particularly like outfitter x and do not like the fact that outfitter x is so successful using this method. G&F change the rules but need to make up lame excuse about disease, because the idea that they want to limit success but still sell the tags does not sound as good. Right or wrong, this is my opinion and I believe this to be the main factor in changing the rules.

    Bad experience with Outdoorsmans

Just playing devil's advocate here, I would say you dropped the ball and should have called to get holiday hours. I would assume a lot of businesses don't carry normal business hours today. Also, it's safe to assume they will be closed tomorrow even if the website doesn't state that.

    Father/Son Archery Double

My son Dillon and I headed out today after the rained cleared up a bit. As we started heading into the small canyons were I'd seen pigs recently, we glassed as we walked through. Soon after we got into the second draw, we found beds and really fresh scat. We snuck around keeping our eyes open and not long we spotted pigs about 100 yards away. We got to about 80 yards and one headed right for us. He got to about 40 yards and must of smelled us. He woofed a few times and went back to the herd. They all bedded down, soon after and we crept in. We waited at 30 yards, but could only see the top of the pig pile and we didn't have a shot. They were bedded behind a small raised pile of rocks. We decided to keep creeping in and soon we were less than 10 yards. As I was moving Dillon in front of me, one stood up and made eye contact. The herd immediately busted out and I started woofing. D threw out some woofs as well. They were moving all around us and one ended up stopping broadside. Dillon let go of an arrow, and then quickly told me he missed. I was watching another one come around to our right. He stopped and I settled in and dot shot him right in the collar with a tremendous thwack sound. I quickly grabbed my rabbit distress call and let it rip. Another pig circled all the way behind us and stopped behind a small ocotillo. Dillon was at full draw and swung around with the moving pig waiting for his shot. (Me) "shoot" (D) "I can't" (ME) "shoot" (D) "he's behind the bush" (Me) "shoot him through the bush" Thwack!! He hammers the shoulder and the pigs tips right over in his tracks. The shot was about 15 yards and the ocotillo only had 6 or so limbs. I knew when the pig started to move again he probably wouldn't give D another chance. The high 5s began and we couldn't believe how this had just played out. We got the pigs field dressed and started the pack out right as we were losing light. Dropped the stinkers off at WGP and hit the DQ for our ceremonial celebration blizzards!

    Baiting Javelina

Shooter, please hunt the way you choose to hunt and by all means enjoy yourself and your family in the great outdoors. To talk down to someone who chooses to do things differently is very small minded of you.

    Baiting Javelina

No baiting of any big game animal is allowed. I believe you can still bait some small game like coyotes.
