I think we need to leave our draw the way it is! I apply in 5 or 6 western states every year, each one has its own point system or no point system and they all have their positives and negatives. I like that as a resident of AZ I have the chance, although it may be small it is still possible to draw a premium tag every year if that is what I chose to apply for, I have drawn some premium tags and I have also gone many years without a tag but that was my choice to build bonus points. TJ has chosen to play the odds in a different way than I do and he has had the opportunity to spend a lot of time hunting, while I may be sitting at home wishing I was! Now that everyone knows if the were successful or unsuccessful in the draw, I'd like to say that I believe the AZ Game and Fish does a pretty good job on the draw, today is the 12th and they still have 8 days until the date they said they would have results available! we all get impatient wanting to know if we were drawn when it used to be late July when the results were out. Just my 2 cents worth. One last thing I am over 100 in unsuccessful draws for sheep in 6 states I dont think there is any point system that can change that and still be fair to the youngsters that are just getting into the drawing pool, it is the luck of the draw. After reading through this post a couple of times, my bud gotcoues and I are wanting to bring up a seemingly obvious mistake. So your story reads the other hunter showed great edicate by quickly turning back and allowing you to hunt, (fisrst come first serve). So why then did you leave the gut pile your of deer at his feet. It is nothing more than an F U upon his return. You should be ashamed of your actions. Kudos to the other hunter. Congrats on your first archery deer, now work on your edicate a little bit. Hey Jason I think your math is off just a little. 100 tags private and public with 60 private 59 to NR 40 tags in the draw 9 go NR = 68 % NR. Still to high of a percentage. I'm a Nr of NM and have not been able to get a tag there in years. V-Dog

No, that is not a drop tine (too bad ). When i first looked at it, i thought the same thing, but i zoomed in on it and its just the deer's neck and there is a blade of grass that makes it look like a drop tine.

Congrats on the buck Matt. I met the Mullins' last year on an elk hunt when Ma tt pulled us out of a mud hole. I think they are really great people and they would go out of thier way to help anyone. I'm real happy for you Matt, congrat again V-Dog

We've got 4 cuddeback 1.3 megapixel cameras and they are great. They have 3 mounth battery life and record on a compact flash card. They will also record video clips. The cards will hold over 1000 images so you can leave them in the field for awhile. The only drawback is the price. The new models are 3.o megapixels but are around 350 to 400$. Good luck with the cameras they are a blast. Get real excited every time we go check them. V-Dog
