Yes they are pretty firm and hold their shape well. They give a little because of the lightness of the foam pellets but not too much.

I made these super lightweight shooting bags for personal use but had enough material to make extras(Have about 10 extras). They are about the same size as the medium Phoenix shooting bags. I don’t know the weight but they are less than 1 pound. Prob less than 1/2 pound. They literally weigh nothing! Clip on the back of your pack. I use it as a rear support but can be used as a front support. Selling them for $40.00 each. The same size one from the big company is more than double that. These bags are awesome. 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO it’s been used but in great shape. Runs perfectly. Strong motor. No leaks, starts every time. Has pull start to back up the battery. Just had it serviced! My hearing has been affected from years of shooting without protection. I now try to have hearing protection anytime I shoot. I use muffs at the range and the foam plugs on a string while i'm in the field. Unless I have to take a quick shot, I put my plugs in before shooting.
