I don't vote democratic. It's a beer coosey, not a beer cowsey. ☺ -

Bucket-list Father-Son Bull Busting, TLO-style
Couestracker replied to GodIsGood's topic in Elk Hunting
Congratulations on a very memorable and successful hunt! Awesome bull too! -
Nothing fresh, only poop I saw was very old. A lot of aspens were scraped though, I assume these are bear scrapes? Congratulations to your wife! Great pictures and recap of the hunt too. Those scrapes are from elk I believe, they like to eat the aspen bark.

Went to Apache last weekend for a last hurrah for this year. Took my 10x42 EL's. Spotted lots of sheep WAY UP high. Gotta get a digi-scope adapter one of these days. Had lots of fun and nice weather. Sorry, photos from cell phone, but still not bad.

Factory ammo repeatability question
Couestracker posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have a .270WSM Winchester model 70. I have been shooting Federal Premium 140 grain accubonds. I can't seem to get good, repeatable groups. This was true when I had a Tikka, shooting the same ammo. I'd say this ammo is upper end for factory stuff. Would I group better with top grade ammo, such as Nozzler or Hornady? I know reloading is the better than you can buy, just don't have time for it right now. Thanks for any advice! -
Oh yeah, duck nuggets for a snack!

first ever bear tag ?s
Couestracker replied to bigrackhunter14's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Lots have closed. I was going to go hunt in 29, but it closed the first week-the archery hunt took the quota opening weekend. -
You don't need or use a tag, just pay the outfitter for each deer (or whatever) taken. You're not in Kansas anymore!

Let's eat it. Nice buck, congrats!
