For the first time ever, I probably won't be able to go on a hunt. If so, I'd like to donate it. Do I do this through the Game and Fish dept, or does someone on here belong to an appropriate organization that can handle it. My hunt starts this Saturday the 28th.

Awesome day! -
I've killed all my turkeys right at sundown! Find their roost trees and ambush then as they come in. Awesome!!They use the same trees often? just get up real early and shoot them in the roost. Easiest way to do it. Unethical, not to mention illegal.

New Mexico tag donation
Couestracker replied to Couestracker's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
Thank you. We got word my Mom was dying while we were in Belize vacationing. We went to be with her the day after we got back, she passed away the next day. I'm very happy I got to be with her for her last hours. We stayed and took care of affairs for a few more days. I was able to pack and go on the hunt for 3 days, but I got real sick, so it was kind of a bust. I had called NM game and fish about donating the tag, I would have had to have done it by last Wednesday. Mom passed on Thursday. -
Happy birthday Brian!

I have some more skulls for him, I'll give you a call Sean. -
I picked up my Mexico buck from Dan Lee, he did an awesome job on it! I requested a tight turn, he had to make a custom mold, and he nailed it. This is the buck that had a growth on its neck, (original post http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/54982-my-mexico-adventure-edited-with-pics-finally/) which turned out to be a puncture wound that bled into hair and formed an unusual looking glob. Happy to have him on our wall!

Dan Lee did an awesome job on this 1/2 life-size javelina! I shot this large sow, along with 2 others on my last coues hunt in 2015 (original post http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/54982-my-mexico-adventure-edited-with-pics-finally/) Later on that trip, my friend Mike and I were gassing hills for deer, and I saw a cave high up the hill, then a bunch of javelina started filing out! I decided then to mount mine coming out of a cave. You know how pictures don't do justice to the awesome work, but this mount really is spectacular!

Couestracker replied to Couestracker's topic in Taxidermy
It isn't you. This site likes to do that with pictures for some reason. Wow, I even edited my pics, turning them upside down and reposted them, website still has them upsidedown. SMH........ -

Nice McGiver job on the tent. Really like my Kodiak as well. Go to Lowes/Home Depot and cut the indoor/outdoor carpet to fit the inside. It's the bomb! Just fold it in 3rd's longways, then fold ends into center in quarters, then roll up and tie with small rope for storage. Sorry you didn't fill your tag, but all the adventure anyways, right?

Congratulations on your beautiful Goulds Bob!

Had a successful hunt on San Carlos, didn't fill a tag on mentoring on the Coclcord Ridge NWTF youth hunt in unit 23, but we still considered successful, and just wrapped up helping my brother and some friends on a unit 8 turkey hunt. We found some roosted, but they zigged and we zagged, game over. Only saw 1 turkey in 3 days. We had a lot of fun though! This was my first time in unit 8, awesome country for sure, but surprised to only see 1 turkey. I'll get to explore here more this summer, as we're having our family reunion at or near White Horse Lake.

I have several mounts by Sven, 1 Goulds, many Meriams in every pose, will gladly send pics too.
-
+2 on Sven, he's top notch and reasonable, and a genuinely nice guy. He's the only one I'd use, other well known taxidermist send him their customers' work.
-
Cool rack on this guy, sorry it's not an ATL pic.

Perhaps a casualty of an archery hunter losing him?
