Looking for a gunsmith to fit my XP-100 action in a wood stock
rancilio replied to rancilio's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
mklong40, I bought this particular stock at http://www.gunstocksinc.com/web_pages/Misc-thumbhole-stocks.html - the dual grip XP stock. I see them on ebay, gunbroker and try searching/asking on www.specialtypistols.us if you have not been there. Let me know what you come up with. I got addicted to XP stuff a few years back and cannot stop liking the interesting ones. I hope to have my gun back in a few weeks. I get a few pix up then. -

I am looking for an AZ gunsmith to fit my XP-100 barreled action to a new semi-inletted wood stock that I have. I am down south in Sierra Vista but would be willing to drive to meet a recommended gunsmith. Please let me know who you recommend. Thanks. -
I went out today in the Huachucas and saw two good looking bucks still wearing headgear. Being my first spring here, when do the coues down south shed? Thanks.

Somebody must have a Ruger Ninety-six standing in the closet that they would part with, eh? Thanks.

Hello, I am interested in your brother-in-laws set-up. I sent you a PM. Thanks. -
I suppose that you know about www.specialtypistols.us since you are shooting the striker. Somebody over there might hook you up.

So far no 2013 bear sightings that I have heard of in the Huachucas, although a friend saw a fresh scat pile last week.

Thanks for the replies. I dropped my XP off with a member-recommended XP guy in Oro Valley. Pix in a month or so. -
Is it 4 MOA? Any problems with it? Thanks.
-
And thank you Shooter! Another great coueswhitetail connection.
-
If you see another one, buy it! I will buy it from you. I have a very difficult time getting there. Thanks.
-
I am interested in what you have left. I sent a PM. Thanks.

Hello, I have two extra S&W M&P45 14rd magazines that I would like to trade for something you have that I "need"... if you "need" these high-cap mags, maybe we can work out a trade. Eh? I am down south near Sierra Vista. Thanks.

coyote hunters are improving deer population

How are you getting the dogs to come in? Calling? Baiting? Setting up in the right spot? Thanks. -
Nice gun!
-
They are about as simple, fail-proof as BHs get. If they don't group, tune your bow!
-
Does anyone have experience with these or any other polymer lowers? I have a S&W 15-22 and it does quite well.

Depending on what you are really after, a Thompson Center Encore makes for about the shortest and lightest gun our there. And barrel changes are at will... if you decide that a .308 is not good for your current application, swap it out. I have a .308, 6.5x55, .243, .223, and .22lr. That about covers my needs. If you want to check out my Encore stuff, let me know, I am right down the street.

For sale: Thompson Center Triumph Bone Collector Black Powder .50cal Weather guard, camo, NIB, $500 or $730 with the mounted Omega 3-9x40. New Nikon Omega scope 3-9x40 BDC300 camo (currently mounted on the Triumph), $230. Nikon Omega camo scope 1.65-5x36 BDC250, NIB, $210. 2011 Strother SX-1 compound bow, 60-70lb, 29in DL, RH, camo, New. The SX-1 29in DL is slightly different than my 29in Hoyt Alpha Burner. $525. Cabela's Alaskan Guide 20-60x70 Spotting Scope with neoprene cover. I dropped it on day one back in 2004 (I think) and slightly dented the objective end. I was certainly not happy. Since then, it has performed well. It is quality built with Japanese glass. $200. I would consider trading for a Remington XP-100, not much else. Thanks. -
I'd say that is a fairly promising ridge!
