Can ya'll suggest a good "how to" flesh out, stretch and dry resource? I appreciate your help.

Very nice. Great buck and good backup story. Congratulations.

Very nice. What does it mean to "put up" furs? Are they out of the freezer and tanned somehow? I have a few skins in the freezer that I want to turn into something for my infant son. Thanks.

Nate, cool! What you doing out there when you came across it?
-
Great job for the whole family! Good times for sure.

Just a little silly is an understatement! -

I can help folks with suppressor info or demos that are down south near Sierra Vista. And yes, 5guys, you need a few years... Or perhaps a dad that's into hearing conservation. -
I'll take it and work out details with a PM.

Nice story and great trophy. Congrats Colleen.

I saw quite a few fresh scrapes above 8000 in the Huachucas last weekend. And at 5500 or so, I watched a little guy mount a doe. She was ok for about 20 seconds then decided nope and wiggled her way away. It seems that about half the younger bucks I've seen in the past week were walking in the footsteps of the ladies. It makes for interesting watching. Like ya'll know, we are a month out of peak activity, at least down south at 5-6000ft.

mmtx10, why no head shots?

35A high elevation hunting (in the Huachucas)
rancilio posted a topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Is anyone here planning to hunt high in the Huachucas? Or already hunted up there this year? I will do my first rifle hunt in many years the first week of December and I tentatively plan to head high on the west side of the mountains. I am thinking about backpacking up and in for a night or two on the mountain. Anyone with experience, advice or a desire to go along? I do not have firm plans yet. -
Sounds like a cool trip and nice scouting... and always nice to help some folks out.
-
Great story. Congrats. Did you figure out what happened on the first shot? Big critter did not even flinch.
-
Cool. Sounds like a great outing. Thanks for sharing.
