New AZGF rule (proposed, which means it’s a done deal) about game cameras:
bmf1321 replied to bowsniper's topic in The Campfire
Also, how do they determine its your camera? -
The "small chat" would have been the time to ask what their plan was and see what you could have worked out to both hunt the area. They worked just as hard as you getting there.
-
Yea, I used to say that to. Breaking an ankle on a solo hunt while packing out an antelope and having to crawl a mile in the dark just to get to camp where there was still no cell coverage changed my mind. I have had a few days at work that were a little better than that. But I bet the story of those few days at work arent told near as often as the story about your antelope hunt.

The worst day of hunting is better than the best day at work.

Has anyone shot a swhacker through mesh?
bmf1321 replied to trphyhntr's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
How did the swhacker open up Im not really sure how it happened. When i practiced through the mesh it worked well. Of course, it failed when it counted. -

bmf1321 replied to trphyhntr's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Dont do it. Is it worth the risk? To me its not. I've had them open up at mesh and miss a big Muley at about 10 yards. Never again. The odds are not in your favor to begin with when it comes to archery, why add another oppertunity for failure? -
backpacking tents.... what are you guys using?
bmf1321 replied to 1denogean's topic in Other Hunting Gear
I have a Slumberjack 1-person bivy?? tent. It's been great when I've used it, which is pretty rare. I actually just cleaned out the garage and my camping gear. This is in my pile of stuff to get rid of. If anyone is interested and would put it to good use shoot me a PM. -
+1. I had same issue with #1 cylinder. Used lisle tool for plug to get it out. They'll run forever.

Does anyone know where to find out what the max bonus points for elk/ antelope draw is for this year? Thanks
-
Is there a chart or something that shows what max points were per specific unit that drew in 2016?

Anyone reloading for a .264 win mag?
bmf1321 replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
+1 on this. But 130 grain accubonds instead of swifts. -
I agree. Suspension built for our type of terrain. Smoother and more comfortable to drive. If you are smart and plan your accessories the Rzr is extremely capable as a hunting rig. The kolpin 21535 grabbers mount right up to the cross bar behind my seat for gun and bow carry. Ryfab.com rack doubles my cargo space. I've loadded a whole 6x7 bull on my rzr. Heck, I've loaded a whole bull elk on my old Honda 4 wheeler. You don't need a Ranger to hunt or do what we as hunters do.
