BahHaHaHaHaHaHa.... Yep... and the next one will be White!!! LMAO!!!! I'd have waved if I had known it was you.... But my luck it would have been someone's wife visiting from out of town and thought I was being , too friendly!! And your dang windows are so frickin' dark!!! I'm sure I'll reconizize that Grey truck next time I see it!! Your luck you would've waived and my wife would have turned her nose up at you or given you the finger... for making an advance at her....Man, I wish you would have waived, just to see your face after she gave you the finger! and its GRAY not GREY, unless you live in London. "Grey became the established British spelling in the 20th century, pace Dr. Johnson and others, and is but a minor variant in American English, according to dictionaries. Canadians tend to prefer grey. Non-cognate greyhound is never grayhound." He's gotcha there Gino.......GRAY is the American Way.

I love that buck! There is a ton of folks out there that have a nice symmetrical 3x3 Coues buck...........BUT, how many have one like that!!! Add em' to the collection and be proud as heck of that "one-of-a-kind" Coues buck! Congrats on your first! JIM>

Nothing special, but I covered a few miles to come up with this one so it was picture worthy It's probably from last year, but it still felt good packin' out an antler ALL the bulls are still packin' ........ SO, I suggest that everyone save their money and stay home for at least a couple months until they start droppin'! Thanks, JIM> As it lay........ It's broken up, but at least it wasn't chewed up......i hate that

"I bought the stainless and fluted version of this pistol and put a turreted Leupold on it last year for long range practice." I thought you were jokin'....... I wish I had your money.....If I did, I'd have me a .22 with a turreted Leupold also! SHEEEZE.......I tell ya, them country folk and their toys Hey Gino, one of these days we'll have to put my Browning Buckmark up against 'yer purdy P-shooter you got there!

Coues Buck Contest
COOSEFAN replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I think NOFX has a great point there, and that idea you have of a "Dual Registration Deadline" would be a good thing Doug. I really like the idea of adding a "Best Hunt Story" and "Best Photo Essay" categories to the contest next year! I think that would greatly increase the amount of quality posts here on this site! I always look forward to reading everyones hunt stories and wish more people took the time to write about their hunt and post more pic's.........that's what drew me here several years ago and I'm sure that's what draws most people here and keeps them here! I also like the idea of creating categories such as the ones I mentioned, and allowing the members to add their vote and be the judges.......that would create more involvement with the members and possibly create more interest in the contest itself. That's my $.02 Thanks, JIM> -
But his genetics are still there.............. Could be.....but I've got video of him spreadin' his genetics in a totally different area last Sept.
-
I agree with that..........but what really gets me upset is the "off-road" quad riders in areas where it's not allowed. There are tons of roads up north that are closed right now.........and it's not stopping everyone! At this very moment there is probably somebody plowin' snow and sage brush with their quad in an area that is closed........and they probably have a 370+ set strapped to the quad! That is what gets them herds split up and pushes the elk out of their winter haunts. That is BS and I hope they get caught! JIM>

Hey Video Guys!
COOSEFAN replied to soazarcher's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Ditto. We have both and the GL2 gets used more. I have not used the doubler but I do wish I could zoom in more......especially for Coues hunts! Definitely make sure you plan on using it a bunch to justify the cost. Some of the smaller cheaper cameras will do a great job just as well if you don't have any big plans for the footage. JIM> -
We've got quite a bit of video of that bull as well from 2007, also have video of him almost gettin' killed during the archery hunt. Here's some pic's off of video and are off of the TV so the quality sucks. The bull is heavier and longer than these pic's portray. A few of you might pin down his location by the background.........but it doesn't matter, he's dead anyway. JIM>
-
He's only got 177k miles on it 'cause his treestand and salt block sit right off his back porch..........he doesn't have to drive anywhere to go huntin'! All I have to say is it must be nice!
-
Great job......that video is WAY COOL!!!! Congrats, JIM>

Somebody (Gino) was giving me grief today for not posting on here for a while......so here is all I got! I sold that "pansy F-150" I had and decided to fix-up that ol' F-250 I had layin' around. This is the one I tried to sell last year and nobody wanted it.......glad they didn't 'cause this truck has really turned out nice! I tried to do before and after pic's of my little "restoration" project.....but most of the things I fixed or cleaned or painted really can't be seen in the pic's so they aren't very dramatic, but here's what I got...... Before... After.... Before anyone gives me any grief........I am all out of CWT.com stickers, otherwise there would be one or two on this rig already Thanks, JIM>

That's awesome to hear you give them your approval! I haven't heard much about them yet but what I have heard has been good. I also gave a few years to Discount Tire, I used to work at AZP17 (if they still call it that?) I got a good deal on this set so it worked out OK.......I will look ya up next time though. Thanks, JIM>

Thanks DUG.....they are 35/12.50/17 KM2's. I've always had great luck with BFG's and know several guys who have gotten over 50,000 miles out of a set of BFG Muds!!! I'm the guinea pig with these new KM2's so we'll see how they do. They do have just a little bit more road noise though.

Tell Casey to take his own truck Casey, I can fit 4 guys in there comfortably now. The thing is.....the ol' lady is graduating college in 2 months and she owes me BIG TIME! So.....this truck actually may not be around next season, it just needs to get me through until then at least..........once she's working she can buy me my new truck.....and then I can retire and just go hunting

SCI scoring
COOSEFAN replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Will Jeremy's buck get Panel scored at a later time? I know with one of the bulls we took last year, it was scored by SCI and the person "under-scored" it and even told the hunter that he under scored it...............because it would look bad to the other measurers at the panel if he "over-scored" it!!!!! I don't understand it..... why not just measure it by the book and as accurately as you can the first time? This measurer even told the hunter that he was probably shy by an inch or so overall...........AN INCH OR MORE?????? That's rediculous, i hope Jeremy's buck gets a fair shake next time -
You just don't want anyone to hear your Culture Club's Greatest Hits cd playing. I'm sure that is funny.....but I don't even know who "Culture Club" is? Maybe I can borrow DesertBull's copy of it sometime I have been accused of listening to some off the wall music though Gino, i was thinking about doing that with the rocker panels, I'll check it out! I had to get new wheels though, the old ones were the 16.5" rims and they've discontinued making tires for that rim....these wheels are nothing special though so it won't hurt when I beat em' up this next season! I just used an automotive type rattle-can spray paint on the undercarriage. It's never been done to this vehicle so it was a huge task to paint the undercarriage. Makes a huge difference though if done right........I used 8 cans total! As far as seein' me on the side of the road.......it could happen, but more than likely it's 'cause I've stopped to help somebody fix their Chevy or Dodge! Thanks Amanda, I have run out of the stickers you gave me last time, maybe I can get a couple more from ya at the ISE show next weekend.

Yeah, I sold the "pretty" one......It just couldn't hold up to the amount of offroad and haulin' that I do. This is the Diesel with the Banks and it'll be alot better for what I need.....Although I really don't need all the sub-woofers in the back seat and I really don't need to be "thumpin'" down the backroads.....so the stereo system is getting down-sized

Is the programmer still for sale? Do you have the box and all the paperwork/instructions etc.? Thanks, JIM>

FALL 2007-JAN 2008 COUES BUCK CONTEST
COOSEFAN replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Thanks Doug for devoting all that time into yet another contest, you did a fantastic job! Thanks also to Amanda for all you do and for creating and maintaining this awesome website! Congrats to all the winners! JIM> -
I can't believe I'm doing this, but my EL's are up for grabs I don't have a choice really, but it's between seasons and I will buy another pair this summer! These binos have special powers! All you need to do is get up on a good vantage point in the middle of Coues country and slap these "bad-boys" on a tripod........then sit back and watch all the Coues bucks appear! Quite a few folks on this site can attest to the magical powers that these binos have.... you oughtta buy em' and see for yoursefl! These EL's have obviously been used....ALOT, but I take really good care of my equipment. The lenses are flawless, and they are in excellent working condition. There are some scratches or wear marks on the frame but no blemishes anywhwere else. They have always been transported in either the hard case or in a padded case in my pack. They have never been dropped but they have slid over a rock or two and that's where the minor wear on the frame has come from. These EL's have the "Outdoorsman Adapter Pin" installed in the frame and you would need to use the "Outdoorsman Adapter Post" in order to utilize this adapter for tripod use. I will leave the Outdoorsman plate on the post if you have that tripod head. I believe this product from Outdoorsman's is the safest and best way to adapt the EL's to a tripod. These EL's are the 8.5 X 42 model and when used in conjunction with the 15's......they make for a deadly combo on Coues! I can negotiate on price if you do not need the tripod adapter stuff, and I will donate money back to CWT.com if they sell here! Also I will ship for free and I'm located West of phoenix and can meet you if interested! Thanks for looking! JIM> Included in this sale is: Swarovski 8.5 X 42 EL's Hard case Soft case Original box w/paperwork New "Red Head" bino harness Outdoorsmans EL adapter Pin w/ Post Outdoorsman tripod plate ( if needed )

That stud is rock solid! I don't even know if you can take it off? I know with the normal screw-in pin that Swaro offers is not as secure as the outdoorsmans. I have had both and I was always having to tighten the Swaro pin and have never even thought about it with the outdoorsmans.
