  2. For the sake of getting a few more pic's on here..........these are a few of my favorite "client" photos. JIM>
  3. Dang, there are some awesome critters on here! CnS...you are a lucky man........she's killed some GREAT critters! Beautiful bears guys...and BIG ones at that! Here's a couple of our bears.....first one is my spot-n-stalk archery bear and is one of my all-time fav's..........the second is my Bro-n-law's 21" monster!

    Arizona Elk Society Banquet

Hey 300.....If you read a little more closely, Pops did not call THEM dumba$$es.......he commented on their bidding skills! They should have told the auctioneer ahead of time that they plan on bidding and to watch for them. This isn't just some painting or fishing trip they were bidding on.....the guy they were bidding for was willing to pay alot more than $85,000. and I don't believe he's very happy with those three boys right now. The auctioneer did a good job and anyone willing to gamble with over $100,000 of somebody elses money, should have paid attention to the characteristics of the auctioneer throughout the night, that way they would've known he wasn't gonna say, "going, going....gone!" The auctioneer gave plenty of time, and I would bet almost everyone there would agree. It is unfortunate though.

    Brownies

Whoohoooo......it's about dam time you start postin' pic's! Now get some of them "freaks" up on the other thread, I know you got a few
  7. Here's a good one for me.....this is my AZ '06 buck and was/is my biggest Az buck so far. This was my first real backpack hunt....or at least it started as one....and was my first Coues hunt with Shortpants. I think the one thing I always remember about it was that I had my dad on the cell phone and he helped me decide which buck out of three bedded bucks I should take, and he was able to hear me shoot and talk him through everything that was happening!

    Holy!!! 5 point

I'm gonna say that isn't the same bull.........the G2 is different and I think the G4 is shorter on the live bull, the G3 looks like it has a slight hook forward close to the tip and not the same on the shed. Also, look how fast the beam turns down after the G4 on the shed, now look at the live bull........I think they are different but without a doubt related. My $.02.
  9. Thanks Jim, I was way bummed he got killed but that's the way it goes. I'm way happy to have the sheds though!! I got another shed off of him last summer too from a couple years before my big set. Pretty awesome stuff! Hey Josh, you worked alot harder for YOUR set! No offense Nicky but you know it's true What have you done with those sheds Josh? Do you leave them in the condition you find em', or stain and mount them somehow? Hey Neo, you look like that buck kicked your butt? That is one of my dreams.... a big velvet Coues...fricken awesome! What did Ernies bull score? That's a beautiful animal right there! Keep em' coming guys......I'm lovin' it, JIM>
  10. Hey Josh, that's wild you posted that pic of those sheds.....I'm friends with the guy that killed that bull and was just talking to him last weekend about those sheds! That was an awesome story you wrote about finding those sheds and seeing that bull alive........It just blows me away that you were able to find such a "needle in the haystack" like those sheds! Great job, awesome pic's! JIM>

It may end up being a tough year to kill a 380+ bull in most of the good units........but there will always be some 300-350 type bulls runnin' around and that should be plenty big enough for anyone with a first time archery elk tag! You don't have to worry.......unless you plan on holding out for a 400 incher! If I had your tag.....I would hunt for a 400" bull.......and kill the first 330+ bull that steps out! BUT.... I don't have your tag....dammit.

    Lets See Them Kids

Awesome thread! Awesome pic's! My kids have four legs and a tail, so I will show a pic of my nephews instead! They aren't old enough to hunt critters just yet, but they get a kick out of shed huntin'! Cody is on the left and Tyler is on the right......they are gonna be huntin' fools very soon......can't wait! JIM>
  13. I think I look shorter in pic's rather than in real life......... because, I'm fatter in real life than I appear in pic's I guess I don't know my way around this site like I thought this whole time I have thought those threads disappeared with that crash. AWESOME pic's guys.......I will kill a Kudu one of these days...it's on my list. The wife wants to go on a safari next year for her graduation present might be able to make it happen.... I hope This is a favorite of mine........it's my sis, "Katie" and Pops. Katie and I stalked up to 80 yrds of this bear and she laid the "smack-down" on em'! Without me saying anything, she jacked another round in and heart shot the running bear at just over 100 yrds! She took out the "air bags" with the first shot, but, to see that bear roll at the second shot, was something I won't forget!

The argument was that he did not say "going once....going twice......." The auctioneer stalled at $85,000 and couldn't believe it was going to sell for so cheap....as opposed to how much it usually goes for. The auctioneer gave close to 2 minutes..........an awkward stall for an auction.........before selling the tag. There were several bidders in the crowd willing to go well over $100,000, but for some reason they were waiting to bid. I do believe most guys were waiting to hear the "going, going........" stuff, but they still had plenty of time. It is unfortunate that it could have raised more money, but this year isn't looking too great, and most of the high bidders knew that before the auction....so , who knows how truthfull the losing bidders are about "how much" they would have spent! JIM>
  15. Awesome! Keep em' coming! Hey Gino, I bet even Gunner blushes when he sees that photo As for the Ram, I can only dream of the day I get to experience that....that has to be incredible! I think I can relate at least on a smaller scale, with my archery Antelope. It was spot and stalk and was a goal I thought I would never achieve.....I'll always remember walking up to him for the first time and touching his horns.......that feeling is what it's all about JIM>

    Freaks of the Woods

Hey Josh, did you mean to post a different pic.....that one is on page 6 of this thread already. I don't mind seeing it again though, that's gotta be the freakiest find on here! JIM>
  17. That was the first thing I did She said; "poor doggie....is something wrong with him?" I said; "heck NO.....he's probably the envy of the town!" Yeah, my baby's got her tail still........she's a pet and only gets to chase the birds around the house. We rescued her from the pound when she was about 1year old...we believe she was taken from her mother too soon and has a separation anxiety problem.......VERY LOVEY DOVEY! She always has to sit on you or touch you to make sure you don't leave. I think her tail acts like a rudder when she's doin' 60mph....so it's useful!

    Hey Grong

NOW THAT is what I'm talkin' about.....what a PIG! There's just somethin' about bulls with a huge top end...I almost could care less how big his fronts are...that one appears to have it all though. I guess I should be puttin' in for 6A! thanks for postin'!
  19. I can't hold back.....gotta show off my GSP "Harley". She's an absolute sweethart.

    2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty

ha ha ha I feel the love I have settled on a price that I feel is very fair, how about $18,900.00. The only reason I am selling it for this cheap is because of the wear on the bed. It has no bed liner and has the normal wear that a truck gets in the bed along with a few small dings on the outside that I have been told can be smoothed out. So I figured $1,000.00 off to allow for these repairs seems fair. Thanks, JIM> Hey Gino, my buddy (Goose) has the same truck as me except Diesel and leather and IT IS a stick shift! He's wanting $20,000.00. just FYI
  23. Hey Amanda, do you still have room at your table? I might be interested for two tickets, just curious, thanks, JIM>

    Arizona Elk Society Banquet

The banquet was a success! Netted over $300,000 for AZ wildlife! The Auction Elk tag was an upset though, it went for $85,000.00 and was unfortunately surrounded by a little bit of controversy.....some thought the Auctioneer sold it too fast, and AZ probably lost out on another $30-40,000.00! The bidders froze up at $85,000 and thought it would keep going with some other guys waiting to start bidding after it hit $100,000....snooze ya looze I guess, kinda unfortunate thinking about the money lost, but someone got a smokin' deal! Got to meet a few CWT.com guys also.........good times! JIM>
