No --- No --- No!!! I just drew only my 2nd antelope tag with 22 points. Unless I apply for archery hunts after this, draw statistics say this year likely will be last Arizona pronghorn tag (and that sucks!). As for elk, until this year my last tag was in 2010 (I apply only for archery bull hunts). BUT, I still go out every year and help on friends' hunts. Nothing floats my boat like September bugles --- so AFTER this year, YES, I'd rather hunt elk!

Truths, and not-so truths, have been offered already earlier in this thread. As a native Arizonan past my younger years, I've seen it all over the years here in our state. As we all know, Arizona's main problem is too many people (more & more each year, unfortunately) wanting to hunt too few animals in an arid state with limited elk-supportable land. That's NOT going to change. As stated before, if you want to hunt more often, you might look into hunting out of state as well (just stating an unfortunate fact). The lottery draw began in 1971, if memory serves me right. G&F had successful tag draw-ees sit out 3 years (back in the late '80s?). That lasted only 2-3 years (?). As Flatlander pointed out > statistically it does NOT better your draw odds worth a hill of beans, and it deprives G&F with needed revenue (I know ... but important). I don't remember if bonus points were offered for those off years under that plan. The only thing that may be an improvement is the squaring of bonus points --- not sure how seriously G&F has considered this. We still have it much better than hunters in Utah or New Mexico ...

Git 'er dun!!! What a difference in improved lifestyle! If you live in East Valley, I can highly recommend "Swagel Wooton Hiatt." Lasik with them almost 15 years ago (after thick-lensed glasses and contact lenses my entire life). Dr. Hiatt performed catarac surgery a couple years ago. I'd give them more than 2 "thumbs up" if I had more than 2 thumbs ...

Congrats!

I finally drew this year with 22 pts --- either west of Flag or on the Rim. Hate the waiting to find out ...

And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid him." --- Mark 16:6

I own a pair of these; superior glass --- you won't be disappointed! Work especially well if you need binos that "scrunch" tight for your eyes-set. Killer price ...

Arizona Not Immune to Land Grab

DesertBull: I'm not a fan of New Times either. In this case the important thing was the attached editorial letter from the Southwest regional coordinator for Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, and was "spot on" IMO ... -
