Neat finds while roaming the hills
BowhuntCoues replied to GRONG's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
No kiddin', he probably wouldn't notice it for at least 2 weeks. Thats a good idea, hope the neighbors don't mind. -
I remember long ago in the 2wd days. Just haul shovels and jacks and you can get most places. 24A has alot of 2wd access. Good luck.

Neat finds while roaming the hills

Yea , I figured it was some kind of domestic or feral hog, it just sounded cooler being called a pre-historc javalina . Funny thing was there were no other bones found just the skull and lower jaw. I have also been instructed from above I can't keep it in the front yard as a yard ornament. Too bad, I thought it looked really good laying by the antlers. -
I have always found I need to aim lower when shooting downhill or uphill. It just takes practice with your equipment to know where to aim at the distance and angle (down or up) you are shooting to know where the arrow will hit.

I haven't had any problems with the Moultrie camera, maybe I have been lucky. The 6 volt battery last around 16 days and now I'm using batteries I recharge.

I have been using the Moutrie Digital. You can purchase it at Walmart for $98.00.

GAME AND FISH TO CHANGE HUNT STRUCTURES
BowhuntCoues replied to bowhuntinmaniac's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
You're right about the Commission wanting ideas Amanda. I also think if we can meet with them as a group or organization, we would have a louder voice. -
A Martin Razor X bow 63lbs with a Carbon Tech Cheetta arrow and a 100gr Ironhead XP broadhead....... Ooops, thats not a rifle but it sure works. So I guess its whatever you have in your hands at the time.

GAME AND FISH TO CHANGE HUNT STRUCTURES
BowhuntCoues replied to bowhuntinmaniac's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I attended the Game and Fish meeting today, couldn't make it yesterday. There was no discussion of the restructuring of the archery elk tag and whitetail tag alotment, I did fill out a blue card for my 2 cents on the issue. They did discuss, for starting year 2007, a price increase for most tags and licenses, up to a 50% increase. I do not think any Jr. tags or licenses will be affected. It was also discussed and voted against having premium tag cost. The Commissioin opted to stay with standard tag fees for each species regardless of when the hunt occured. We don't want to make this a rich persons sport! It was a very interesting experience and I urge all of you to attend any meetings in the future. It did seem to me the Commission did want to here any views or ideas from the public. -
Petroglyph pics
BowhuntCoues replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Nice photos, I have stumbled upon quite a few ruins while hunting. Have only seen petroglyphs once though. That kind of stuff has always facinated me, when I see a ruin, I wonder what it was like right where I'm standing back in there day and how tough it was for them to make a living. Thanks for sharing. -

This a shed I found a few years ago in unit 24A. I thought all you all you Dec. hunters might want to see it. It scored right at 50" and I wish I had found the other side.
