azhuntnut, I have been shooting Rocky Mt. 100 grain Iron Head XP expandable broadheads. What I like is they have no rubberband around the blades and they shoot like field tips. I have shot 9 animals with those broadheads and have had no performance problems with them. You do have to glue the blade shut when practicing if not the blade start to bend after about 10 shots in a 3D target, once that happens you will get fliers. Hope this helps.

Did anyone see or get a bear this
BowhuntCoues replied to coues7's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
That had to be the aliens pouring grease on you, Lark Seen some bear sign but no bears, a buddy of mine seen a bear on Friday and again on Saturday. Too bad bear season wasn't open in that unit. I'm done huntin' deer this year, so next weekend will look for some bears. I think I'll look in the acorns and try to stay out of the heat as much as possible. -
WOW!! Nice video bigcoues!!! Those are some nice bucks. Thanks for the video.

Maybe someday I'll get an elk tag. Maybe my young boy might get a tag! -
I always try to get up at least 25' (if you can find a pine) and usually they won't smell me, but not Friday. I shot my buck from a Double Bull blind at 32 yards, I set it up just before daylight in the morning and the buck had no idea I was around. Those blinds do get really hot inside though its like being in an oven.

Nice find!! How do you know the coyotes are not the aliens? You know they are pretty smart, maybe they have allways been fooling us.

Its in unit 23 I mean unit 45. This is at the same tank I shot my buck, but this was not him. I did glass up what looks like a younger brother to this buck last week though. -

Coues Whitetail Background Location

I think all you guys have it wrong, its unit 45, especially if there is a 120" buck under that juniper. You know unit 45 is where all the big coues bucks live. -
whats the funniest thing thats happened
BowhuntCoues replied to ultramag's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
About 15 years ago me and my uncle were hunting the late hunt in unit 32 (when you could get the tag) and the call of nature happened in the morning for my uncle. Well it was very cold and he had his coveralls on to make this early morning jant. I was still in my sleeping bag when I hear him yelling and screaming, heck I thought the Mt. Lion we seen by camp was attacking him. A few minutes go by and he comes back into the tent and he doesn't smell too good, saying when he went to pull his laundry back on he noticed he never left a pile, the pile was left on the sleave of his coveralls. I laugh every time I think about that hunt . It was my 1st coues hunt and we had a blast . -

BowhuntCoues replied to buck hunter's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I don't think these photos are deer from unit 23, they have to be coues from unit 45 everyone has been talking about . You almoust got everyone with that one buck hunter . Nice photos . -

Lark, who do you have mow your grass? I think I can convince the better half to hire them to mow my grass. Nice touch I like it. Do they do hedges? -

BowhuntCoues replied to azhuntnut's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Checked camera this weekend and had no photos, the motion sensor was aimed too high. I reset it and will check in the cover of darkness Friday morning. Bowhunter4life those bucks were posing at their favorite salt lick in the woods. Thats my huntin' buddy's spot. We checked this last Saturday and had no photos of those bucks again so hopefully they will come back for him. -
Here's a couple of pics for you guys

Does anyone think Amanda will go for this?
BowhuntCoues replied to BASS's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
The 3rd one down would look real good in the back window of my huntin' truck. I like the idea better to have local "hunting business" do the hats or shirts and everyone knows we may need some new fall hunting wardrobe.
