  1. Well as everyone knows the draw results are out. I hate to brag but I was very fortunate this year. I was one of the lucky few who drew an any species, any unit scouting tag.

Can someone explain MRAD's to me?

It's been a while since I've had to do math but if i remember correctly......... MOA (minute of angle) and MRAD (milli radian) are esentially the same thing, just different units of measure similiar to an inch and centimeter. with MOA a circle is divided into 360 degrees, then each degree is divided into 60 minutes then each minute is divied into 60 seconds. For MRAD, or milli radian, where milli is 1/1000 and radian is just an angle measurement, you take your circle draw the radius ( from the center point to the edge). imagine the radius you just drew is a string and take that string and wrap it around the circle. then draw a point from each end of the string the the center of the circle, the angle created is a radian, and if you divide that angle into 1000 pieces you would have a MRAD. Long story short. If you calc out what a minute of angle is at 100 yds its pretty darn close to 1 inch. if your scope is 1/4 moa adjustment each click is pretty close to 1/4 inch (or .25) @ 100 yds. if you calc out what a mill radian is at 100 yds it should be about 3 inches (if i remember right). if your scope is 1/10 mrad adjustment each click is moving about .3 inch @ 100yds

Gen 3 Glock 23 & KKM Precision Barrel

The Gen 3 Glock 23 is sold. The KKM Precision barrel is still available is anyone is interested. Match grade barrel with a fully supported chamber. No gunsmithing required, they just drop in. KKM's website has them listed for $165. Thank you to everyone who looked.
  4. I'm trying to raise money to buy a different gun. I'm selling a generation 3 glock 23 (with 2-13 round magazines) and a KKM Precision barrel in .40 S&W. This used to be my daily ccw carry gun until i got a gen 4. There is a slight amount of holster wear but glocks were never intended to be pretty and the gun functions flawlessly. I have won a turkey two years in a row at the turkey shoot in Globe with this gun. Prices: Seperate: Gen 3 Glock 23 (with 2-13 round mags) $425 KKM Precision barrel in .40 S&W $100 Buy both $500 Face to face cash transaction only. AZ drivers licence / ID and bill of sale required. CCW prefered. If interested i can text you pictures 52o / 8to7 / 9one95 or maybe i can figure out how to put pictures on hear.

This post is for the dogs

I have been reading this forum for a long time but never really posted anything so i thought this would be a good place to start. I hope it works. This is my dog Samson the Mighty. I found him as a puppy while working on a project in CA. He was a boney, sickly, smelly mess. He was very skinny with a big pot belly, he was losing his hair on his chest, had big sores, and just generally very sick. I took him to a vet who said he had a bad case of worms, ran a bunch of test to figure out why he was losing his hair, and diagnosed him with advanced parvo. She told me if I did nothing he would die in a few days, if I gave him pills he would have about a 30% chance, and if I hospitalized him he would have about a 50% chance. I asked how much it would cost to hospitalize him and she said $1000 a day and he would have to stay at least 3 days. I looked at my poor sick little puppy and said “little dog I don’t like you that much. You’re gonna have to get tough or you’re gonna die”. So I got the pills and headed home. I spent the next three days, every hour on the hour, shoving pills, pedialight, and a liquid diet down his throat. After about two days he started getting better. It took quite a while to get him healthy again but now he’s strong as an ox and the most loyal loving dog you’ll ever meet. And a good spotter.
