You could go with another gun but the 25-06 would do just fine. If you don't want to spend the money go with the what ever of the two guns you shoot the best.>>> Manny

Thanks for the info guys. I have always ran BFG's either AT's of MT's on all of my past trucks. When I bought my new truck last year I went with BFG AT's and they were'nt doing too bad until I had some motor work done. I have a little over 22,000 miles on them and just about need a new set. I know i'm not going to get great milage out of any tire but had heard guys gettin really good mileage out of the Toyo's. I'm very impressed with the KM2's and more than likely the tire I will go with (if i can find them). I have a few friends that have them and have been nothing but happy with them. russd, Did you experience the same as "azhuntnut" on the fuel mileage?

Seeing if any of you guys are running these tires and more specifically the Open Country M/T's. If you are, do you guys have any complaints about them? And for the diesel guys... How are they wearing compared to other tires you have ran in the past? thanks >> Manny

The saturation patrols and the employer sanction law are two complete different things. The employer sanction law is not a criminal law it is a civil law, just like a speeding ticket. Employers can not be arrested for violating it. The law itself is VERY hard to enforce due to the way it was written. The elements you have to meet are almost impossible. I can tell you though that several criminal arrest have been made that surfaced from these investigations, such as Identity theft and forgery. (Please feel free to PM me with specific questions if you have them.) The objective during saturation patrols is crime surpression in areas based on written complaints. These operations have been going on for years and are now getting attention because illegal aliens can be arrested administrativley. There is not much difference between a holiday DUI task force and these saturation patrols. The only difference is the target, a DUI task force target is DUI's. Other arrests occur such as warrant arrest, drugs arrest, etc. During saturation patrols there are no specific targets. The target is any crime observed, whether it be DUI, criminal speed, drug arrests, warrants and so on. I hope this clears up some confusion. Manny -
On average around 2 or 3 fps. 2-3 fps???? I bet Casey is closer at 10 fps.... Casey is not the norm..... 2 or 3 fps is the norm.......the next time I am close to a chrono, I will shoot a bare arrow through my WB on my X-Force. BUT shooting a WB on a X-force is still shooting faster than any other bow If I could only put the arrow where it needs to go Redman Shoot a drop-away and maybe your arrow will go where they need to go J/K

I won't get to involved in an open forum on this subject. I'm the Detective Sergeant of the unit that is under the microscope on the subject of Illegals with the Sheriff's Office. The members in my unit are dual certified and can enforce immigration law when a lawful contact has been made. I just wanted to make a correction to your term "roundups." My unit does not do roundups(which is illegal), we conduct saturation patrols in areas based on specific written complaints from members of the communities about criminal activity in their area. The Sheriff's Office is catching a lot of heat over these saturation patrols because the media outlets focus on the illegals arrested during these operations. What the media fails to relay is that the majority of the people arrested during these operations are US citizens. The numbers on a recent operation were a total of 46 subjects arrested and of those 46, 7 were in this county illegally. Manny -
Texas Tom and the other lil' critters

Congrats agian buddy, awesome TOM!!!!!!!! Five more hours, and I'm on my plane to Texas........ I think the clock is starting to go backwards Manny -
+ 1 Roy + 2 If you get a Scott release or any release for that matter go with a buckle style wrist strap instead of a velcro strap. Buckles straps last much longer and are quieter. My .02 Manny

The best thing that I have found for sneaking are a pair water socks that slip onto your feet and then a pair of the heaviest wool or cotton socks you can find over the water socks. The water socks have a thin soft rubber sole (dang near a bare foot) that keep the thorns out. This set up works as good as bare feet and when you blow the stock it doesn't hurt as bad getting back to your boots.

Help me pick out tires.....
mjmhunter replied to AzPacknHorns's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I went through last season with those Pro Comps, same size but in the 18" rim. They held up great and the tread wear was awesome.....BUT, watch out for creosote branches! I put a creosote branch through the sidewall on a brand new $350.00 Pro Comp....which can happen to any tire though! I now run the new BFG Muds ( 35x12.5 R17 ) on my F-250 and they are and have always been my favorite. These new ones look as though they will be just as good as the last version of BFG muds. I know several guys who have gotten well over 50,000 miles outta the muds!!! Good luck. Here's the 35x12.5 R17 NEW BFG Muds............. I'm running the BFG A/T's right now, thanks to the wife talkin me in to them. I have always ran BFG muds on my past trucks and never should have switched. The only good thing about the A/T's are their wear. (except mine) I have about 21,000 miles on this set and they will need to be replaced here soon. My truck pushes out a little more torqe then most diesels so the tires don't stand much of a chance. A friend of mine has the new BFG muds KM2's (same tires on Jim's truck) and after riding around with him in mud and snow while lion hunting, I am a complete believer in these tires. We never slipped or spun our tires in any of the nasty stuff we were in. To date they have worn very good for him. Manny -
Hey Gino, did you get a chance to shoot those 3"ers yet? P.S. P.S.S. Goodluck in Texas if I don't talk to ya. Manny

After you called me this morning, I went and looked at what Tiana used in Nebraska last year and she was shooting Federal Premium 3" #4 turkey loads with a turkey choke. She shot her first bird at about 35 yards and her second at 20 yards without any issues. I also shot the Federal's except in the 3 1/2" and had no problems. Manny

You made a good choice that is a great shooting bow. My wife just bought the same bow for herself.
