    How to tan a hide

http://www.fntpost.com/Products/Tanning+Kits+Supplies/Rittel's+EZ-100+Tanning+Kit A deer hide is a doable at home project becouse a deers hide is pretty thin.A elk hide is far too heavy to "flesh".You have too scrape the non hair side almost down to the hair folicle. I went to the site and it showed some other full kits that even had tools like scrappers. It listed elk, but I have no experience in this and you think it's a waste to try let me know, don't want to waste the $$ on weekend. Thanks for your help. http://www.taxidermy.net/forums/BeginnersArticles/04/k/0479C8DAA9.html I have done a few grey fox,a badger and two deer. But I wouldnt tackle an elk myself.Notice the last ansawer in that link was from the guy who sells the kits.I have a elk hide and a friend has one we got done through Clay Goldman the Taxidermist in Payson ,it was about 200.00 per and they are nice and soft.Your son could put it on the wall,or bed.Mine is on a big coffee table in my living room.Consult with a few taxis,if you had access to a fleshing knife and board, would be a must have items to try it on your own.Kind of surprised no one has tried and chimed in.Good luck.

    Need an honest auto mechanic

Trail transmission in aj has always done me and my family good for tranny stuff. Sold my uncle a 5 dollar sensor when he was ready to write a check for a whole tranny he "knew" it was trashed but they sold him a 5 dollar part instead. Did all the clutch work on my truck, fast and affordable After reading this I went to Trail Tranmission today. My ford ranger was slipping into reverse when I put it in park, not too safe.Well they took it in right away and the guy knew there was a braket under the dash that could have bolts backing out.Sure enuf he tightened them up and wouldnt take my money.Wow,talk about good people A+.

    It's about time!

If a legal worker is paid a livable wage there will not be a problem. There will be less profit for employers and if they keep breaking the law they will lose period.Do the CRIME pay the fine.
