So instead I bought the savage axis off davidsons for like $320 out the door scoped and ready to go, the gun is a tack driver and has killed many coyotes since. Now they have added the accutrigger to the axis package I don't think you can go wrong.

I live in Flag on a golf course that gets a lot of geese and ducks in the winter and it doesn't look like most of them have shown up yet.

From what I saw there were technical issues with the draw for at least a week before the deadline. I tried to apply using a Mac a week early and it wouldn't work at all, had to wait until the next day to use a PC with ie to get it to work.

If I had to take a wild uneducated guess I would say the favorable conditions in the desert have the birds spread out and not relying on certain fields for food.

The most important thing with a shotgun is fit, go to some stores and try swinging some around and see what feels good for you. 3.5s are over rated IMO.

The problem with this is and I'm sure I'm not alone is that when I get priced out of hunting in AZ I will not be applying in the draws but this does not mean that I will stop hunting.

#3 is incorrect, your 3rd choice is not looked at unless everyone who had that as a 1st or 2nd has already been drawn, it is unlikely to draw any elk hunt as a third choice even cow, even if you put that hunt as a 2 nd choice you would still only be 25% based on last year.

My dad bought a Mossberg as a self defense gun a couple years ago that whenever we shoot buckshot or slugs the action does this. The manufacture said that it was normal and this was a feature to absorb recoil or something, total bs in my opinion.

I have the same rifle in 30.06, recoil is negligible and the gun is very accurate, always wear hearing protection.
