The first thing that I think needs to change is that ranchers should not be able to restrict access to leased land, deeded fine, but leased land is still public land. The second thing that I don't agree with is that if I have private land and your private land land locks mine I have the right to an easement for access. Well I think it shouldn't be any different if the only reasonable access to public land is through your private then I think there should be an easement granted.

Doug that could be a real issue as i believe the draw has already taken place. That ranch tried to do that last year and i knew they would this year. The Campbell Ranch did the same thing last year just a week or two before the hunt started and charged people a grand to hunt the ranch--there wasn't a 75" buck on that ranch from what i remember. This will not hold the results up but i do feel sorry for those antelope hunters who were drawn for 19B-- Its official I hope you didn't apply for 19b, 0 tags for this unit for archery and rifle, passed with a 3 to 2 vote

Well I was planning on abandoning my points in Utah this year but I chickened out 2 hours before the deadline. And unfortunately this wasn't the year that I could use last years license. For those that keep up with the drawing what do you think they are going to do next year with the general points and the limited entry points? I am hoping they combine them but with my luck they will just drop all preference points.

This just happened to me as well, went to walmart, nothing, went to walgreens, none, went to Fry's grocery store, yup the had marbles. Just one more reason not to shop at Walmart I guess.

thought I would share my 2010 goat. I found this guy all by himself and he made the mistake of bedding down about 80 yards from the top of a slight ridge. I walked a big loop and crawled over the ridge in just the right place to see his horns sticking out of the grass. When he stood up I got lucky and he started feeding my way, when he got to 60 yards I took the shot. I had 10 days off to hunt and ended the hunt on my first morning. Well I sent my registration in! This is the first time that I have ever hunted one of these and am pretty excited. I am going to be hunting it with my dad and we will probably just stay in his camper. After seeing Coosefans cool photos of coyotes dragging down a buck I am looking forward to putting a hurt on some more dogs. Hope to meet some more members out there.

I am probably going to give up on Utah, unless you are already in max points you will never get there from the point creep. And the odds for the random tags are not worth throwing the money at. I have already pretty much given up on New Mexico as I believe their seasons are to short and expensive and if there new law passes I don't know why any non resident would put in there starting 2012. I am sticking with Colorado for deer and sheep, the only thing I don't like about Colorado is I believe if you draw any tag you should loose your points. There are way to many people with 10+ points that have been hunting every year. I have nothing but warm fuzzy fealings for ndow and can't wait to hunt there in the future. I am thinking that I might get in the Mt. Goat drawing in Montana or Wyoming to take the place of Utah. Good luck to everyone!

Hello, I figure with all the snow we are suppose to get this wed. and thurs. a lot of you guys with lion hounds are going to be out chasing this weekend. I have always wanted to participate in one of these types of hunts. So I wanted to ask if any body is taking thier dogs out this thursday, friday, saturday or sunday within about 2 hours of Flagstaff if they wouldn't mind me tagging along. I am in good shape for chasing dogs and would be willing to throw in some gas money to let me tag along. Let me know thanks.

I don't agree with this logic at all, should we just make it illegal to drive at night to take away temptation of doing something that is already illegal? Hunters need to support anything that increases hunter opportunity! I don't hunt rabbits but I shouldn't be able to stop you if you want to do it. If someone knows the best way to show support for this, please let us know

I am not familiar with this case but usually the real punishment comes from the game and fish in the form of their civil penalties not the judicial systems fine.

+1 a lot of these units are going to get hit hard with so many rifle tags. The Hopi tags look a lot like landowner tags in some other states, I just hope we don't cross that line that would allow them to be sold to the highest bidder.

no surprise there for a weekend and a tank you can drive to and it looks like it must have been turkey season with everybody carying shotguns. I liked the guy walking buy with his fingers up like antlers. You must have had the cam hidden pretty well for nobody to have messed with it.

I applied for the nanny hunt this year but with only 3 points, to someone who doesn't know much about goats I think it would be just as fun and just as much of a trophy to take a nanny.
