WHAT IS THE LONGEST YARDAGE YOU HAVE EVER SHOT A COUES BUCK AT?

i have 15x minox and i usually use spit and the sleeve of my shirt.

me and a buddy had a tag in there last year. we scouted that entire unit. found some relly good looking stuff in the dos cabesas. and saw a toad right off the highway. only trouble was we never could find a way back in there. plus all the stories i have heard about the klumps, and the dos cabesas, had me worried. probably not even true, just someone scarying us away from the honeyhole. but we did end up hunting in the pedegrosas. we found queit a few deer in the walnut canyon area. we didn't kill, but did miss a shot at a pretty nice buck in there. not a whole lot of people either. that would be a good place to start. i have to say i wouldn't want that tag again. to far, way to many illegals and drug trafficing. and the deer are rather sparce. we actually saw a huge drug bust not 400 yards from one spot we were glassing. pretty crazy.

WHATS IN YOUR DAYPACK? YOUR FRAME-PACK?

dang, that is very thorough, i don't know that i could get all that to fit it my pack.

i have a badlands 2200, but i was curious to know whats in everybody's packs. what do you carry on your hunt, in your daypack? what have you found to be most useful?

does anybody have any info on the buck killed in 22 with a bow in december? i have heard rumors from a couple of people. supposed to have scored over 140. my uncle said it was a typical three point. just absolutly huge. somebody he knew showed him pictures. somebody on here has to know. are we gonna see the photos, or here the story? is it true? come on people, i'm going crazy. especially cause i had a 22 rifle tag, lol

i use a 300 weatherby mag with 165 gr nosler ballistic tips. i am pretty confident out to 600 yrds. it seems to kill pretty good to me. however i am not sure that it kills any better than the next gun.

what is everyone's thoughts on manzanita and juniper thickets? you know the areas that are almost immposible to walk through, and near immposible to glass. do you guys think that there are alot of huge bucks in these areas? has anybody had any kind of success, or sightings of toads in these spots? how about any methods to hunting them? i have my thoughts and feelings about these areas, i was wondering what all you other coues adicts felt about it. jbone

this is not the best photo in the world for scoring a buck, but i have taken a lot of time looking at this picture, and have come up with what i think this buck would score, now i just need a few more eyes and some input on what the rest of you think about it. thanks, jbone

PICKED UP THIS ODD LOOKING ELK ON ONE OF MY TRAILCAMS LAST WEEK. THOUGHT IS WAS INTERESTING LOOKING AND WANTED TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE. MY BUDDY ONCE SHOT ONE WITH A HORN THAT LOOKED KIND OF LIKE THIS, BUT NOT DOWN THAT LOW ON THE HEAD AND IT WASN'T PERFECTLY STAIGHT OUT LIKE THAT. I'D LIKE TO SEE THIS ELK AS IT GROWS BIGGER.

WOULD BE WEIRD MEASURING FOR A SPREAD ON THAT GUY WOULDN'T IT? HOPE THAT THING MATURES, MIGHT BE HARD IF HE CAN'T EAT THOUGH. HE'D HAVE TO LAY ON HIS SIDE TO GET FOOD, LOL.

LAST YEAR I SAW A HUGE BUCK IN EARLY DECEMBER. THIS WAS THE ONLY TIME THAT I SAW IT. I WAS WONDERING IF YOU GUYS THINK IT IS ALWAYS CLOSE TO THIS SAME AREA, OR DO BUCKS MOVE TO DIFFERENT AREAS DURING THE RUT, AND RETURN BACK AFTER IT IS OVER. IF SO, HOW FAR DO THEY TRAVEL, AND WHERE MIGHT THEY GO. HIGHER, LOWER ETC. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO FIND THE DEERS SHEDS IN THIS AREA? ANY OPINIONS OR SHARED KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

i drew my 3rd choice this year for antelope. a 10/18 archery hunt. i was wondering how that was possible, and that explains it. must be the bonus points.

just found the forum on this website and i love it. i got drawn for 10/18 archery antelope, 22 dec whitetail, unit 1 turkey, and 4b archery cow tag. its gonna be a pretty fun year. good luck to everyone.
