Are you looking for something that will actually shoot again or something just to tinker with? If it doesn’t have to work when your done learning on it then maybe gunsmiths have some broken stuff? I don’t know the liability of selling something broken but maybe? Or check yard sales? If you want something that will work when your done then listen to all the replies above mine.

Where did this guy live Tim? I’ve always used EvapoRusr, does the same thing without the hassle. I’ve used the same gallon for about 5 years. Soak you stuff, and strain the solution back into the container for the next project.

Start checking armslist, pawn shops, all those facebook places, and it’d help if you did post a list, some stuff is sold not using the Internet. I understand the embarrassment, had it happen to me.

Some of the terrain can be extremely rough with 70lbs of gear and water. It’s not likely you’ll have to walk more than 2 miles.... really even 1 mile to find a spot. At that point I’d just truck camp and maybe do a day or two out of your pack if you wanted.

List out all that was stolen, they’ll pry be trying to sell it.
