Dang, your right, not cheap! Which one are you using and what has it killed?
-
Yeah, they’re not cheap. My primary gun (hopefully) will be my old Thompson that my dad put together many years ago with hard cast balls that I make. That ones cheap to shoot and good for around 75-100 yards.

I have some blackhorn powder and I ordered the breech plug for it yesterday. Also picked up some traditions smackdown carnivores in 250 grain, guy in another thread suggested them. I’m hoping I don’t have to try to many loads to find one that works. Injuries and corona have but me behind the ball this year.

Did all 5. No tags. First 3 choices here was in a unit I hunt normally. A hunt that had left overs every year until 2 years ago when a guy killed a huge coues and posted it here.

I work in that sh!thole and agree. Good school if you avoid the constant liberal pressure. Use the town for what it’s worth and leave for some place better. Sad to say but true.

RCBS, Vortex, and Teton have all sent me more than I asked for. They’re going strong as far as I know.

Now buy a metallic or fiber rod and be done with that.

Would you take a .223 for your wife?

Set them both up or all 3 and bring them. Let her shoot what she feels comfortable with. No law against you carrying a gun on her hunt. And if you have a third going with you then they can carry one too. I think a .223 alone is under gunned but if a close shot presents itself then do it. If it doesn’t then you have more gun available. -

Sad they died and if the local authorities shut down a freeway for protestors then the person in charge should be charged. Since when was shutting down commerce a good idea? -
I’ve never had this problem. Where I usually hunt my camp and spots are untouched all year. However, if I’m ever in a situation where my blind might be sat I would just tape a note to it....”if you beat me here and you have cell service please call me at 867-5309 and let me know your there. That way I don’t come ruin your hunt” if they don’t call then at least I tried.

They’re a good addition to your harem, make more chicks to make more eggs. I prefer an all female clan but sometimes a rooster isn’t sexed right.
