Quail loads
muledeerarea33? replied to Edge's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Here, I hunt scales and gambrel at the same time. I have had scrambels at the house before. I won’t hunt that close to home though. -

I’ve pissed off too many birds with 8 or smaller. Work wonders on dove though. -

Been so long since I’ve seriously hunted them I don’t remember? Thinking I’ve stuck with 6. -

Usually the 6’s work best early season for skillet shots. -

I just haven’t had time in April/May the past few years for any hunts. I’m gonna change that in 2021.

Weather is unheard of! Is this the driest hottest year on record? I don’t know but it seems like it is. -
And we used to do the trail and back in an evening but not recommended for an out of towner.

Don’t remind me! Grew up in 27 and hunted 3B this year. Still depressed!

Fire restrictions. Anyone else considering turning tag back in?
muledeerarea33? replied to daverp's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I get what your saying but my last few hunts have been so exhausting all I’ve wanted to do was have a whiskey, eat, and go to bed. Fire was my last concern. I have had a few hunts where a fire was a must. This year I think one of those propane deals would work just fine. Good luck if you decide to go out. -
I picked up some free old powder
muledeerarea33? replied to ctafoya's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
If it’s dry and smells like powder then it should be ok. The clumpy stuff would pry load practice rounds but better used for stumps like you say or making powder burned signs. -
Wasn’t aware.

Use it. -
Lol!! That dude wouldn’t last an hour in my shop lifting tires, brakes or bending into hard to get spots to replace parts! And he’d be whining after an hour or carrying a rifle on his shoulder on a hunt!

I like a good troll for the most part. It makes this all worth reading. But you troll just to troll, some of your stuff don’t make sense. What’s the end goal bud?
