I am thinking of getting a trippler but have a few questions. I know they tripple the power of the binoculars (as in the name) but can you only use them on one side? does it make it a spotting scope essentially? can you get two of them one for each side? Is it hard to adjust and does it stay clear? I am guessing it is only going to be as clear as the binos you have but does it make for a better site picture or worse? I am going to be using it on a pair of 10x leupold windrivers. I love these binos for the quick throwing up and looking but with my crappy eyesite and glasses I cant see very far with them and strain my eyes when glassing for long periods of time. or would you guys reccomend a higher power bino for glassing rather than getting the trippler. I know a lot of questions but I dont want to pay the money for something with out finding out a little bit about it Thanks Daniel

We were driving up redington this past weekend like we do most weekends do to some scouting. Every time we drive up that road it sickens me to see all the trash where everyone shoots and all that trash along side the roads. this time we started talking about it and decided we are going to try to help. I have seen other areas fenced off and closed down because of abuse like this and I dont want to see it happen up there. I was hoping to get some other people involved and so far we have about 4 people including us. If I can get a few more people to help with a clean up and agree on a date to do it I will call forest service or game and fish and see if they will provide a roll off dumpster and maybe some trash bags, but if not i will provide the trash bags and atleast one truck and maybe a trailer if I can get my hands on it. If enough people from the site join up maybe we can get the news involved and have a story about the good that hunters do for the land? and if we are really lucky we can get amanda to put up some coueswhitetail.com apperel to wear if the news shows up and give the website some good publicity anyways I hope to get a good turn out for this and anyother areas that need this kind of attention.

Ok I now have an official date that both G&F and forest service can make it to sept. 29 (I am sorry if this interferes with your party tony) after talking to Mr. Taiz he said we can probably get quite a few people on that day since it is national public lands day. I appoligize for changing the date on you all and understand if any of you cant make it. Its a lot more work organizing this clean up than the actual clean up itself I will be contacting the trash companies trying to get a dumpster donation and stopping by home depot or lowes also trying to get some stuff if possible. Please bring gloves if you have them and any other personal safety equipment you feel you may need. If possible I would like go get an accurate head count of the people that will be there atleast a week or two before the 29th so I have a number to give the agencies I am working with. thanks again for all the help Daniel

thanks for the info amanda i will call him today

I will be there

I have contacted game and fish with some pretty good results. the gentleman i talked to was very nice and sounded like he cared a lot about cleaning up that area. i got some good contacts from him so i will be calling around in the next few days trying to get an even bigger crowd out there and contacting forest service aswell. I am assuming that sept 9 is a good day for most. if so that is the day that i will tell the G&F and forest service we are planning on. thanks Daniel

the area we will be cleaning wont effect any archery hunters I dont think. its not a place where many hunters go if any.

Ammo prices increasing
muledeerarea33? replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
ammo has been on a steady rise for about 2 years now. More so in the last 6 months. I have pretty much started reloading everything I have and finding used brass at the popular shooting spots to cut down on costs. they say it is from the cost of materials to make a loaded round. but if thats the case how come a box of .380 costs more that a box of 40 cal or 9mm????? I dont know. -
I am reslly pleased with the response I am getting out of this and it sounds like a lot of you guys have cleaned up there before. James are you worried about messing up somesones archery hunt or worried vollanteers might be busy hunting?
