I think they should charge the same price as a hunting lic. costs. that would be fair not the 15-20 dolalrs that they are doing

This is an old post. I know have two presses and all the other goodies that go along with it and reload almost every caliber that I have. I took a peice of laminated butcher block about 1 3/4 thick and used 4x4's for the legs. I trimmed it out with 1x6 birch and made some top shelves out of the same birch. It was the second bench that I made since the first one out of plywood and 2x6's wasn't really sturdy. This new table is rock solid even when I am sizing shortmag brass (whoever has one knows about camming over to shorten the kneck).

yeah I guess it is a good chance to get the meat. I haven't been able to get ahold of the outfitter though. I might be fun if they let me use my thomspon pistol.

when you all say a "shoot" just exactly how does that go down? are they ran down with a chopper or a quad to where you are sitting and then you shoot them? or is there a little actual hunting involved?

If the grain is not dark right now I dont beleive it will get much darker. the guns you probably saw were either laminate or a type of wood that had dark grain to start with.

If they are as old as your saying i wouldn't touch them. the value will go down. you never know in the next couple of generations they might pay for someones college or a new house

just stay away from the cass creek calls. i have had stuff come in with them but dont really know how. they sound horrible and the speakers distort badly. I did use the varmint als calls on an mp3 player with the cass creek external speaker and it sounded pretty good. a friend of my dads still uses the tape player and the cone speaker and we have done pretty well with that. he has been using it ever since i can remember.

TAM it wasn't you that hijacked it so dont worry about it. I might of had it mounted if the dang A-max didnt take the whole shoulder and leg off. I only found peices of the leg and found no shoulder. funny part is there was no exit wound. needless to say I gotta switch bullets if I want to save pelts. I did skin it and have it drying right now. It should make an ok wall pelt.

Me and the wife went out Christmas eve to watch the sunset and as soon as it went down I started calling from the truck. After about five minutes of calling I turned to my wife and said "well I guess it didn't work" not five seconds after I said that this fox walked about 3 feet from the truck and stared at us. I wasn't expecting to even have anything come in I didn't even have the gun out . the fox looked at us for a few seconds and walked down the hill. I grabbed the gun and ran after him. He was standing about 20 yards from me and about 30 from the truck staring back at me. I took the shot and dropped him where he stood. the only bad part about it all is that I was testing some new loads and lets just say that the 75 grain A-max is not a great pelt round. It took his whole left shoulder and leg off and didn't even make an exit wound. Not really sure if the picture worked I havent put one on here before daniel_fox_002.zip

TAM I agree totally with you. I was about to have this post deleted for just that. seems like everything gets turned into a debate of legality on the hunters part and nothing gets said about the actual post itself. ohwell

No I didn't shoot him in the dark. the sun had just gone down there was plenty of light left.

One of Terry's (25-06) good friends and a person I have hunted with a few times is Leroy. heck he's gotta be like 130 years old he is still up and at it and a very smart man with lots of outdoors smarts. A man to respect that is for sure.

If it is real why did they put in on a mount that looks like it should be for a mountain lion or bobcat? looks like they might of erased something from that rock mount and added that deer.

Just head up any of the three rivers in morenci/clifton area. or heck drive on the highway and you will see them almost daily. they are like rabbits up there nice pictures

I am hearing about a lot of cameras lately being stolen. Everyone is so quick to blame it on another hunter. that may be the case but think about all the nonhunters that hike the hills that may have taken your camera just to be an a$$ hole or maybe someone who doesnt know any better that may have seen it there and said hey wow look at what someone forgot I am taking this. Just something to think about.

if you are planning on getting a new scope and adding turrets check out leupold they have a good set up with their turrets.

my dad had one in 45-70. not sure if it was a shilo though. nice gun and very accurate for what it was.

All the other sides of town already have ranges. I dont want to be the one to say the "F" word but I think the shooting spots up there now should be fenced off but as we all know one fence leads to another an soon it will all be fenced off so maybe not such a good idea

I dont really mind the idea of a range up there but I do think it will change a lot of things. lots more people equals more rules and more hassle. but if you do not break the law you have nothing to worry about right? well what happens when a guy wants to go up and sight in his rifle or let his kid shoot a gun for the first time and doesnt want to do it with a crowd of people around him or a guy testing loads who may only be shooting 10 rounds or so and doesn't want to pay to go to a range. Will it still be legal to pull off the road and shoot? I do agree that those shooting areas are very trashy I have shot there once or twice but have never left trash and have sometimes picked up trash. but I would still like the freedom to not have to go to a range if I dont want to.

Scope is sold. still have the other stuff. come on people I am trying to build a gun here and need money I know someone wants to make thier exhaust louder with some flowmasters and atleast one of you has an old chevy with a blown trans in your yard
