muledeerarea33? replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Who cares??? The guy will start with New York politics and try to make his way to the national level. It will be everyone's problem then. Gotta pick the weeds before they get out of control. -
I'll say!!! I was gonna buy it for my mom. Guess ill keep looking lol

A few years back the Clifton/morenci area where I grew up published a cook book with all the recipes from restaurants in the area as well as the moms and grandmas recipes we grew up with. As far as I know the book was a hit and sold out (I have a copy) I was wondering if a cwt.com cook book could be made and sold? Everyone add a few recipes along with the ones already on the site. I'd add a few recipes and buy a copy, who else?

Anyone have an Eberlstock X2? Is is Waterproof?
muledeerarea33? replied to PRDATR's topic in The Campfire
This probably isn't what you want but, I make my own "fanny packs" out of old blue jeans and belts. You can customize what ever you want. It's far from pretty and camo but it works very good. -
Thanks snapshot, two years ago in 32 while hiking near Jackson cabin I managed to pull a boulder (300+lbs) down on top of my foot crushing it. When it healed, or as it healed. I tried to do to much and developed the heel pain. I hope they can just give me an awesome new titatinuim foot haha! But I thank god for short term disability insurance.

Dang!! Not sure ill attempt the burpee!!! Alot of good work out ideas posted. I'll be going in a few months to get my left carpel tunal done (already did the right) also I have an appt with a foot doc for possible plantar fasciitis. I guess my answer is just to eat less and better quality for now, haha I say that at I have country style ribs in the Dutch oven and calevisitas ready to cook with a drink in my hand. I'm trying to schedule it all so ill have 6-8 weeks off to scout before my early dec hunt.

Congrats on drawing a sheep tag!!! I'm confused. Big tub. How do you have more bonus points if you started applying 13 years after? Chef. How do you know what unit? He didn't say? Lol what am I missing?

The guy never said he was hunting with his set up but if he is, and is good enough?? Anyways. Try using shims in your rings or different rings? I'm not sure why your current setup won't get you to a grand or further? Double check it all maybe?

Using 2-way radios while hunting. Legal, ethical or what?
muledeerarea33? replied to Whitesheep's topic in The Campfire
I don't know Becker but I think he's a taxidermist, not a guide? He is just very blessed and has the time to go out and find/kill huge deer. I think the kid in situation #1 has better moral values than the others but in the end... It's all legal and if you ain't broke, have fun hunting what you can afford. It's no ones business how you hunt it as long as you have a tag before you submit a record. -

muledeerarea33? replied to grandmawhitetailhunter52's topic in Trail Cameras

I'm not a fan canned hunts or caging animals to be hunted. What you describe just sounds inhumane and cruel (I haven't read the article) there are situations however where animals are kept on huge ranches 100k+ or 1 million+ acre ranches that are hunted, not exactly free range but most hunters wouldn't have a chance to harvest these animals otherwise. And the heards are strong, healthy, and will be here for future generations. -
Deer applications 101...
muledeerarea33? replied to HKshutr's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
My first year applying for whitetail in 33 I messed up and drew a mulie tag. If I remember correctly the two species weren't separated in the regs like they are now. It's still a hunt though. -
So I got a deer tag for this fall, I don't want any secret spots but I'd like to know where you hang your cams, where you sit, where you park your truck. Where's the best place to camp and when your on the trail, where do you take a leak?? Also what gun/scope do you use? I'm not looking for honey holes or secret spots. Hahaha, hope you all have a good season!!!
-
I did draw a tag, in a secrete location that I won't talk about and I can get my fat a$$ out of the house after work I'll start scouting hahaha!!
-
Just a bad joke, all the new folks lately asking for "not you honey hole" or "not your secret spot" for a specific unit. No harm intended.

My dad got his in 2001. He broke his arm/shoulder in multiple places, even had to change jobs because of it. He got a form from g&f as well as workmanship comp. his doc filled them out, it took awhilebutthey gave it to him. Lol he bought a nice cross bow and hasn't used it once since.

A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FELLOW CW MEMBERS IF I COULD!!!!!!
muledeerarea33? replied to buffhunter's topic in The Campfire
I've heard of it but have never been. I just got my wife's permission to eat dinner there tommorow evening. I'm sure it's awesome but I'll know for positive in about 23 hours! -
I'd stick with 7mm rem mag

I agree with pine donkey, I've seen some nice deer close to the house, if there's a hunt and you live far enough from most of the mass I'd say take you shot. I know the deer we've had here have been killed by other hunters. Personally I see no problem with it as long as your mind set is that SE one else can legally shoot them close to home.

It does depend on edibles. I've never had a bad one (as long as the meat was cared for properly) every one I've ever had has been from the 4500-7500 elevation if it matters? I've eaten coues and muley from the same hillside in unit 27 and I'll be damned if the both tasted.... Well, like deer meat! If its cooked right and prepared right it tasted good no matter what the "meat product" you use is. I've fed all kinds of meat to people who had no idea what they just ate and were drooling with stains on their shirts before I told them its... Muley, coues, rabbit, lion, etc.

Haha, 25-06 your an old man, I'll vouche for that!! But you got schooled by an old man with knowledge!!!! So my question still stands, where's my dang loyalty point lol? I've never needed it but would be nice to have if I did.
