Hunting small game while a big hunt is in progress?
muledeerarea33? replied to down2hunt's topic in The Campfire
Don't stop!! Your opinions have made me think once or twice. I'm 30 and my youngest good friend is over 40, needless to say I'm an old soul and respect the old guys experience you folks bring. If you need a hug and wanna talk about it I'm 45 min away, I'll buy the drinks!!! Still, I'm just havin fun. :-) -

hahahaha, your one of the instigators of the touchy people here the past week one shot!!! I ain't mad at ya and I'm sure most others aren't either, I love the touchy, pissy, "mines bigger than yours" posts lately. It's my alternative to TV (and work at times) all in good humor on my part but if anyone wants to go for the record, you gotta lot of pages to fill. I can't wait til hunting is in full swing for everyone!!! -
Cool looking caterpillar, what about the deer pictures!!!

Or the archery deer season during early dove season? I don't go out of my way to ruin hunts but I'm not going to stop dove hunting just cause its deer season. Just use common sense, good judgment, and dont be an A-hole and it'll be fine. -
Amanda's or one of the admin guys needs to chime in on how much longer we gotta babble crap in order to make this a record, it seems this topic was played out a few pages back
-
I'd say the best rifle is anything in rim fire, it's the most ethical but remember, shot placement is key!
-
Ok people, lets get back to the topic at hand here. We're trying to set a page record for a conflict post. SOooo.... When is the legal season to shoot Santa's reindeer? And would I be able to freeze dry the red nose to keep it realistic?

haha, now that you said that theres going to be 60 people in there and no bucks -
come on page #10!!!!

Maps, GPS, whatever works for you, the boundary is marked in someplaces with a fence and other places the fences have fallen or the strands are different. No real good boundary last time I was there
-
so would one assume every big deer on the border of the park and unit 9 is a tame pet? How many miles in from the border of the park would it be ok to shoot a big dear? 1,2,3??
-
I forget how many pages the last "Big controversial" "thing" was?? is this one getting close to a record?

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )

If your hunting buddy turns to you and says "watcha thinking about?" It may be time for a new hunting buddy, unless she's really pretty -
Just cut some willow branches and get some flint when your at camp. Poach a doe and make a sinue string. Don't give your money to Walmart!!! Hunt the traditional way, and stay away from those city and park elk.

**SIDE OF HWY DOVE HUNT TOMORROW AFTERNOON!
muledeerarea33? replied to hoghntr's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
My side by side Charles daly is a "gentleman's" gun, the hulls don't shoot out, I gotta pull them out by hand. They always go in my vest. I understand about taking it away a little at a time, that's why I bought enough property to be able to shoot birds legally from my back porch if need be. Again, I'd hate to have to deal with the rules in the Phoenix area. -

I remember a long time ago, when I joined this site. I almost posted the plate # of a dove hunter who peppered me while I was deer hunting. Never did I know, that same dirt bag (and his family) would turn out to be one of my best friends! I joined because of the cwt.com sticker on his bronco. -
I think you took mine??? I had it in unit 22/23!!!! You mother f.... A.... Hole. Oh well I'm brainwashed by the libs now, can I buy it back on Craigslist with a check from Syria, or the U.S.S.R?? I promise it's a good check. I'll even write it for 1,000,000,000 more than its worth and let you keep the balance.

I beleive scooter is correct. It's a 3 day minimum, the shop can set their own hold period over that if its their policy

So how have you been cooking your dove?
muledeerarea33? replied to Chef's topic in Cooking Wild Foods
that sound amazing, except the A1 sauce. I've never been able to aquire a taste for the stuff. Haha if you can imagine this... To me, A1 tastes, like a clean outhouse smells!!! Maybe I'm just weird. -

Did last weekends batch today, soaked in milk over night. Filleted almost off the breast bone. Stuffed between the breast meat and the bone with cream cheese and jalepenos on half of the, the other birds stuffed with Gorgonzola and and fresh bacon bits. Put one white wing dove leg on each breast and tied with bakers twine. Oven for half hour at 400. -
That's rare with those frames. That's an awesome selling point by itself!
-
Sounds like a beast!!! Has the frame been broke by the steering box or is it fish plated?
-
Haha I remember when my grandpa got his pioneers license!!! Rest his soul, as much a we respected him, there were alot of old man jokes that day!!
