I'm not tryin to give you a hard time, sorry If I come across that way. If I'm with my dad, I'm a road hunter (due to his health issues) if I'm alone... What road? I never saw it?? Some hunters swing both ways. My pops was killin and grilling before I was born and before alot of us were even thought of. I respect him for that and have learned to be humble and respect him. If you hate me for driving and ole man around on occasion to keep him young, I don't respect you one bit. If you understand where I'm coming from, then god bless you.

How about reviving the archery doe hunt?? It seemed hunting was alot better when that was going on.

If you know of and bitch about road hunters, chances are your not far enough from the road.

The only animal I haven't retrieved, that I've personally shot would be dove. Over the years I've lost some but would look all day (while shooting other dove) never lost a big game animal but I know it happens. Not always the hunters fault, but it is always the careless hunters fault!

A jump box is good to have. I bought mine for work but carry it while I'm out in the hills. I use it to run the pump on my home made portable shower too. I'm a fan of interstate batteries for all my vehicles.

So if your Hunt the December/January hunt, do you pass on anything less than a 115" mature 4x4 because its not mature or done growing? Same applies to rifle hunts. Is it ok to shoot a spike or 2 point in a rifle hunt or late archery hunt but it's not ok to shoot a big 3x3 during the earlier archery season?

Do you have a rifle tag or do you hunt archery only?

And I haven't just started hunting. I've hunted my whole life. Never with the technology of today's hunters.

Amanda, I love your answer and honesty! I have Zeiss victory fl, basically bought my my entire family one year for Christmas. Best present ever. Haha can't afford the tripod adapter so I just rest them on the tripod, works ok. My truck is my quad (and yes it's beat to heck and scratched) my good hunting rifles are hand me downs, however I was able to buy one nice vortex scope. The other ones have leaupold glass. Good but low power. My amazing wife bought my range finder a few years back as a valentines day present! I love her so much!! I reload all my ammo, and 13 out of my 15 vacation days goes to hunting.
