Hunt close, but still on legal land to the neighborhoods, good deer there, and good deer in the whole unit, sucks you can't scout, maybe get there a day early? You'll be competing with lots of people who live minutes from that unit. Good luck.

Is he looking to trade 1 for 1?

Lol ok, I would agree with everyone else then about bulging. The reason I asked the question was because 120 in a string is alot, wasn't sure is all. Thanks

3 1/4 ammo in a 2 3/4 gun?
muledeerarea33? replied to muledeerarea33?'s topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I'm not a shot gun expert by any means and I just showed my ignorance. The box of estate 2 3/4 I just opened, on the hull is stamped 3 1/4 -
Brass cased surplus ammo lasts forever, the last 7.62 I bought was head stamped 48

Any Preppers out there?
muledeerarea33? replied to Coach's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I think he was out of Phoenix somewhere? -
If their the old shells and not the modern plastic hulls they could swell. I had an old box of 12ga that wouldn't chamber due to swelling. I've been trying to blow off a bunch of 22 rounds that I acquired a few years ago, 50 round boxes that are marked with a yellow front price tag 29cents a box. So far it's all shot fine.

what's the joke?

After trying to get thru the first part, I'm not sure if I'll be able to follow the rest of the story but I'm still curious.
-
Are you saying after 120 rounds in one session it jams up?
-
Your right, people can't tell you where to drive on public land (unless they have an official status and good reason) AND?? What happened? You drove thru anyways, turned around, asked why they were trying to block the road, etc.??
-
WTF are you trying to say?? Please start from the beggining and tell the complete story, you seem to be hinting at certain parts, makes it hard to take a side.

So essentially nothing is changing as long as you buy on or by jan 1?
-
It sucks for the first translation year but after that its almost like nothing has changed (for residents anyways) hunting license's are Christmas presents in my family, don't know what else to buy people otherwise?

Ladies and gentlemen......IT's FRIDAY!
muledeerarea33? replied to DesertBull's topic in The Campfire
Haha, I'm still having a cold one or 4!! I just gotta be there Tomorrow. I feel like a woman with my once a month Saturday. No offense to women's monthly of course. -
If you buy it now, it is still valid till dec 31, 2014. It's valid from January 1 till the end if the year. Brian is this in writing somewhere? If I buy now for spring hunts. It actually starts on jan 1? Not the date of purchase, say.. Today, until next year this date?

Usually in the 36's? I may be able to help to.

Hate to rain on the parade but.... It's my Saturday to work for the month. -
WHEN I WAS SINGLE!!!! I found a pond and scouted twice a week. I had the pig, deer, and fox schedule down within a 10 minute time. I shot my pig within that time in unit 33 (first year I'd hunted that unit) if your married, good luck! or you have an awesome wife, you'll do ok either way. Rifle is usually easier but archery is more fun. My fun comes from scouting and knowing where they will be when my tag is legal. The actuall hunt is boring and quick if idid my job right. If I didn't, watch out!!

Beam scale vs digital
muledeerarea33? replied to hunter1026's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I think beam scales are more accurate if your in a no air movement enviorment. I use a rcbs digital but usually check it every so often with a beam scale. -
Looking good for the upcoming Jr. Hunt

That first one looks chunky plump! Good meat and antlers.
