Hope your pops recovers fully. My ole man fell off a ladder roughly 15 yrs ago, never been right since. His shoulder and arm was half way down his back, tore up his hand and was out of work 2 years. He went back to work with a 10lb lifting restriction, lifted a gallon of coolant and tore the shoulder out of socket again. He now has a fake shoulder, a fake knee, and one foot bigger than the other from an injury many years ago. We still get out as much as I can get him out lol. I guess the only good thing from this... He got his cross bow card for archers hunts.

Anyone Done Any Research On .17 Hornet???
muledeerarea33? replied to a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Hold out for the Winchester .22super mag, or whatever it's called? It looks awesome!!! -
I don't blame you one bit for waiting for a bigger one. I've been waiting for unit 1almost twice that long (for rifle). I couldn't imagine having to leave for a week!!! Good luck when you get back to it.

My dad just sent me some pictures of the frisco flooding in Clifton. The water is 2feet up the steps at my aunts house! She lives down by the flood gate. They got her and some stuff out and took her up to verde lee to my folks house. I'd post pics if I knew how to from my phone. Anyone up that way have any updates about what's going on? I'm still fuzzy about the details myself.

30 yrs ago when I was 3 months old apperantly we were the last car out before they shut the bridge.my dad stayed in morenci to work (not for the mine) just hot an update that the storm drain causing the town flood got closed and the water went down in town, some houses had a few feet of water in them. The river is still high.

That's funny scott, I just of the phone with my mom and she said the exact same thing. I wonder if a class action suit against the designer or whoever forgot to block the storm drain is in order? I'm not a law suit guy but goodness!

It was built in the early-mid 90's I've seen it closed 3 times since then personally. Not sure if more or not? Funny thing is, it looks like they built it to hinge the wrong way? If it ever floods so bad that the bridge is wiped out and debris is in the way, they have to be on the river side of the gate to clear it so it can open again. I'm no engineer but it seems bassackwards to me.

Let's hear your "Zombie-dove" stories
muledeerarea33? replied to Scooter's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Not to be graphic, although its not really graphic? A doves head come right off, no effort, no twisting/spinning, just a very gentle pull and it's off. Not much blood, no effort. If you can deal with decapitation of a bird to be humane, it's not hard. Just gentley pull. No suffering, no "zombie birds" just some good dead fresh dinner. -
So how have you been cooking your dove?

Oz31p, it's hard to say really? On one hand more people shooting/hunting makes it harder for anyone to try and stop hunting/shooting. On the other hand, more people equals more trash, accidents, ignorance, and overall unsportsmanlike conduct. It's a thin line to be standing on. -
