If money was no object I'd have a lazzeroni. Pry a war bird or bigger. Friend of mine lets lazzeroni hunt his ranch, he gave him a warbird and supplies him with ammo every year he comes to the ranch. That rifle shoots like a dream! I watched a whitetail drop at 1400 yards. I'm told he's getting a new Titan this year in .338.

New Dove Limits!!

Edge, If your in the collared dove up there, I'll come and help you! -
I feel for the mountain folk whose homes can be destroyed by one wrong accidental fire. The same can and does happen here in the lower thick desert where I live. People here don't follow restrictions because its all private and state trust land (some forest service) point being.... People think that if they don't see pines everywhere then a fire is safe, but my rural desert property can burn just as easy as the pine can, maybe it isn't as extensive as far as acerage but a lost home is the same no matter where your at! I lit my first BBQ Saturday after a couple of soaking rains and I still further soaked with the hose and had it ready while the fire was going.

No fire restrictions where you were at?

For your price range sears or harbor freight for new, Craigslist might find you a nice rolling cart with drawers for around 250ish. My box at work cost 5 grand and my roll cart was 600 bucks. Good boxes ain't cheap. Might think about building some wood drawers if you got the skills and peg board. I've got around 80k worth of stuff at work but at home I'm an extreme cheap skate haha!

What's your price range?

Got my new personalized license plate!
muledeerarea33? replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
Seems like that would be taken as well? Nice plate. -
i hunt some forest service land that's only accessible by going they private land. The man is nice and gives gate combos but if he didn't then he'd have a few million private (public) acres to him self. Good hunting but hard access. Even g&f private land coordinator is surprised the access we've obtained. There are no easements or public roads into this place.

buddy of mine had the same issue with a marine, extractor failure. Sent it back and 6 weeks later had his shotgun mind you, this was pre-trigger recall times at remmy.

Cattle will Find all that is good!!! Most are as wild as the creatures we hunt. Some cattle need to have a season on them

If you wanna get fancy buy a rib rack, it's a cage type deal that cooks them on their side, I have had good results! As far as game meat and smoking.... Like everyone has said, needs more fat. I've had good results with deer sausage (because its cased and mixed with pork) also dove. On a cake pan, marinated dove with green chili and onion, bacon latticed on top, loose tin foil cover. About 30 min at 250 then uncovered for 15 min til the bacon is brown. Best smoked dove I've had. I use the same type of side draft barrel smoker with real wood. Alder for fish, pecan or cherry/apple for pork, and mesquite/hickory/pear for beef or poultry.

Louis Zamperini - Another Hero is gone
muledeerarea33? replied to DesertBull's topic in The Campfire
This man was an absolute hero! We are losing a great generation everyday, the majority of them are already gone. The folks who fought in WWII and Korea are the generation that I most respect, both grandpas and a great uncle were in WWII, all three are now gone but they're the men who shaped our family. One great aunt still lives and I love hearing her stories over and over again about the good and hard ole days. It's a sad state of affairs today. Still have good folks but not an entire country full. -
I don't want to believe they're all serious but sadly they probably are?

AGFD news What would you think of a new online club for hunters?
muledeerarea33? replied to AGFD News's topic in News from Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
do you know if they're gonna take the show on the road? I mean for the rest of the state that doesn't live in the big city? Lots of small town guys would love to attend meetings but driving to Phoenix is not an option. That's what bugs me about alot of the decisions, I know sometimes they travel but will they with this one? -
Unit 33, 2450 Coues tags!
muledeerarea33? replied to AZBearhunter's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
i agree with most of what you say. Except this is Southern Arizona, water is the biggest issue here, is it far from roads?,yes but alot is close to roads too. It's a far cry from the upper west coast that has moisture and food to support the tag numbers for years to come. A few years of heavy drought and half of az is done. -

I don't use a claw but I do shoot off of my tri pod with the plate and a rag to keep my stock from scratching. Works good and never messed up my tripod head. I imagine the claw would transfer more recoil energy however I think you'll be fine.
