muledeerarea33? replied to Little Creek Calls's topic in Elk Hunting
Very nice! I'd love to know your points? With almost 20 and 3b being my second choice I didn't draw. -
hahaAliens... that's funny! how bout dog and caka burs. James I'm extremely lucky we don't live near those nasty burs!!! But when we visit areas with them I cuss myself for not shaving the dogs first lol.

And it's half the cost of buying a bench.
-
Pm me if you want a strong work bench design and have a wall to build it on. I'll send pics and if you want to you can post them here since I don't know how

looking for a good diesel mechanic

Your local ford dealer. Drive in and ask for the guy who's been there more than 8 years. Make sure it's not Monday or Friday, if it is , explain that your not in a hurry. -
Another post today said something about Hornady ammo being out of spec? Might scan the forum for that info before racking your brain, could be bad ammo?

Outdoorsman is 150ish, the one in the cwt store is cheap, like 30 bucks but I'm iffy on Velcro. I know aliens invented it but I'd hate to drop 2k glass.

Wow!! First of all wow!!! Who the FFF, Fing wow!!! Next thing they'll do is not keep score and give both teams a trophy. Welcome to Generation Y!!!

Nice. I've tried to make all kinds of stuff for the zeiss I have (no center mount) best I came up with was a spring clamp for a turbo boot that I drilled and tapped to the vortex mount, it clamps to one barell of the binos. The dang factory mount is 200 bucks and I'm leary of the Velcro setups.

Can you actually still hunt unit 32? And a AZGFD mini-rant.
muledeerarea33? replied to sjpitts's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
to answer your questions, basically yes. not sure about 32 but in general the G&F goes to zoning meetings, builds access roads if they can, and controls easements in some areas. they have a guy for every region that deals with access. The Tucson guy is real nice and will explain everything to you. He seems passionate about really trying to gain access. -
The backing of the cabinet was still secured to the wall, the box came off. Not an instillation problem, it's a manufacture problem.
-
Of I could post the pictures of the kitchen cabinets I had in my reloading room I would. Needless to say, when they fell off the wall (the backing still screwed to the wall) I had tons of sorting to do!! Only metal locker/cabinets from now on.

Bullet grain for 30-06
muledeerarea33? replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I shoot 180's. the 06 I have has been used hard since 1971. I cleaned copper once and it threw a fit!!! I tried to load 168 grains and it gave me the finger!! This old busted gun loves factory Winchester 180 gn bullets. I can't load for it to save me life lol. Shoots clovers with factory loads. Stupid gun!! -
I got 100 coming. I'll sell off 40 for 36 bucks if someone is in need.
-
Well I've loaded my Winchester and Remington brass 7-10 times. I'm ready for some new brass. Anyone have opinions between Norma, Lapua, and Hornady? Are they worth the cost? Gun shoots .75-.5 groups now.
-
I ordered some Norma brass from midway today. thanks
-
If I happen across a few good ones after the early hunts I'll let you know. I live in the area and I'm out looking regular.
-
Willie, so far no one has condemned the .223. Of course there are better options and the original poster know that. The best option for his kids hunt is, at the moment, a .223. And so far no argument has been made about it. If it were my only option I would use it in a heart beat. Yes the heavier, more solid bullet (as mentioned) will be best.
-
good points and what you say should not be overlooked. The potential is there with almost all rounds to be tracking a wounded animal. A good shot with a 338 at 250 yards is the same as a good shot with a 223 at 250. Don't try to push an uncomfortable shot and it should work out good.
-
I have some 90 grain vld's if you reload, just bullets but I'd give them to you if you want.
-
only glanced at midway, no out of stock that I saw but I only glanced. I'd be willing to buy some off someone if they had it.
