javi is ok. For a true favorite the meat itself has to stand alone. No BBQ, no nothing! If you had a meat to eat forever, Plain! What would it be.

I tried smoking trout, but the rolling papers kept getting soggy Kidding....... I love smoked trout and Salmon, along with some good cheese and crackers. Antelope is the best I have had from anything with 4 legs. I hear some of the African game is quite delicious, hope to try it some day. that's why I'm using a pipe! Haha!! Guess I need to try antelope some time. I love domestic goat.

Lion, bison, cotton tail, and elk. It's all really good to me though. I'm smoking a venison corned beef, or should I say a venison pastrami? Either way. Also smoking some trout.

Locked up where I hunt coues, I know people. Even still, no guarantee of a big buck. Tag out every Year but just meat bucks. I'm ok with it. If they close all non unlimited public access hunting land to everyone then I'll be with the rest of the Joe schmoes. Until then, I enjoy my access. Not a buddy's land I'm hunting, I just did the work and found a secluded spot. -
0 points, governors tag, all units. Thanks for the help!

Does Working Out Help You Hunt Better?
muledeerarea33? replied to firstcoueswas110's topic in The Campfire
Being fat myself I can tell you it's hard! If I work at it and lose a few pounds and get some cardio I totally notice a difference!!! But I also tag out year after year for tags I draw. Fat or skinny doesn't make you harvest different but I'd rather be buff and in shape than fat and giggly after a harvest. -

Would like to try some heavier bullets. 175 smk or 168. Or any Berger. Not really looking for a-max but might try them. I got 139 hornady to trade or other calibers. Looking for 10-20 I'm in Tucson and benson. Thanks. -

I loaded 139 Hornady, 162 Hornady, and 175 Sierra game king today. Wind is to bad to shoot but when it calms I'm gonna see how they do. Hicap, Noslers might be fun if these don't work. Firstcoues, twist rate is 1:9.25 do you think 180 will stabilize? I think it might but it'd be pushing it. Not sure though? Thank you both! -
I crapped my self laughing! Good one.

A public thank you to cohofishing. Brent offered and mailed me some bullets frees of charge. I had them in two days! He doesn't need anything in return after several attempts to trade haha! Goes to show how people on this site are genuinely good. I'm going to donate to the site and will also offer a few bullets or brass to anyone looking to try a new load. If u need something let me know and if I have it then I'll mail it out to you. -

if you get to Tucson I'll take the slicer -
Camp sites at Parker just like other lakes. Some Forrest camping too but not close to the lake. There Ida small community that lives there so be mindful of their property. Store, dock, and boat launch. Just like most other lakes. Steep hike to the water from camp spots but exercise is good right? Fishing has always been ok. Caught more channel cat than anything there. I believe a state record of sorts came out of that lake too.

And if they were shooting where you were hunting, you sure as heck weren't far enough in. Most all target practice is close to the dross within a mile or so. Even then as long as you feel safe hunting there, most critters get used to shooting areas and could still be close

Lots of target shooting down there. Head past middle tank about half mile, the road splits. Take either one and glass and walk the hills along and in between the canyons. Lots of land in the southern part that's overlooked for javi. Good luck.
