I don't own one but do have a truck that I take out in almost as many places as a 4wheeler goes and maybe more in some cases. I wouldn't be caught dead in a truck that's not 4x4. I figure you buy a 4wheeler or side by side so you don't have to beat up your truck? Might as well be 4 wheel drive.

Rem 700 BDL, 7mm rem mag. Timney trigger, pillar bedded stock, vortex scope. Been trying to load for this gun but it hates every thing I put thru it. Was hopin to get some 175 game kings to shoot but no. Best group 1.5". 162's no, 139 hornady does around am inch but I want a bigger bullet and tighter group. Do I just suck it up and stay with the 139's? Rebarrel to a better one (stock now)? I'm using norms brass, federal match primers and have tried 3 different powders. Shot best with 7838 and 4350. This is the first gun that's messin with me. I even sucked it up and Pm'd a few of the REAL reloaders on here for help lol. They know and do more than me but nothing's worked. I'm thinking the barrel is the issue since it's not like a 2 foot group lol but I'd like under an inch. I took a few loads out to 300 and they opened up accordingly as well

500 meters. Which is almost 550 yards. May bad for not putting a unit of measure next to my 500, I'll try harder next time

I've had bad luck cleaning copper on older guns before, one in particular took about 30 rounds of good military ammo to bring it back to shooting a 3" group! after copper cleaning it opened up to just over a foot. I wiped copper in this 7mm last night, wasn't real bad so hopefully it'll shoot when I get to take it out again Sunday.

honestly bill I have a few other hunting rifles that shoot better even if they don't need to. I'm not looking to do anything with it other than get it to shoot better. I like playing with guns and accuracy and this paticular gun is messing with me. My 1963 Winchester 30-06 shoots clovers even though it's had thousands of rounds thru it. Being that they have been mostly cast lead doesn't hurt the fact. This gun is just an irritant that I want to make better.

Thanks for the replies. My case prep is good. I load for several other rifles and most all are moa or better some with factory barrels. I blame the gun because like Lark, I can hit anything!!! Joking but really I'm not a bad shot. I'm cleaning copper tonight and actually haven't done that since I got this gun. I'm gonna try one or two other powders and read the betgers bullet length from the lands setup. After that I'll mess with the scope and crown if need be. Thanks for the input.

bingo. Muledeer has more rifles bouncing around on his floorboards then beer cans. not this one! And my other truck guns that you've seen, best up and dingy will outshoot this one any day! Haha!

Cleaned well after the trigger and pillars installed. This evening I only shot 5 and waited 15 min between shots hoping it was a heat issue

Gun is not new, atleast 15 yrs old. I split the difference max loads between my three loading books. Turns out they all were very high for this gun. A few grains before max I was getting pressure signs. Bought all the fancy measuring tools that I've never used before, but still get crap groups. Think I got a used barrel issue.

Run a can of BG44k or 211 thru an air port first!! Get it hot and break some carbon! Then crack them loose. It ain't cheap to fix a stuck plug or worst case, replace a head.

40 highway use, 30 moderate off road, 50 light trailers (0-5k) 55-65 heavy ackward trailer (4500-6k) tongue weight is more important than overall weight and tires heat while driving. If you go over recommended (on the side wall) it could heat and bubble or blow. Not likely at all but could with a big tire like that. Hard question to answer not knowing your trailer specs but I'd say cold pressure would be 50

I wear one pair of boots all year long. Work, home, hunting, the walmart, frys, foot doctor appointments (broke a bunch of bones in my foot) but I wear 1 pair and that's it. Red wings. Almost 300 bucks, middle road boots compared to the rest on this forum but it's all I wear ever and no feet issues. I wore sneakers/ tennis shoes once a few years back and fractured my ancke!! Lol 15 years with redwing now, a new pair every year or so and that's it.
